I regret not doing anything when I was a teen. I wasn't really allowed to, any my mom always knew when I was going to do something stupid. Eventually I just stopped trying. It's carried over into adulthood. I rarely ever take risks.

I got into too much trouble. And I regret it to this day

He's convinced I worry too much. Well, someone has to. I know the most we'll get is a warning, but you never know if we'll catch a cop in a bad mood and decide to arrest us or claim we put up a fight and hurt us.

Not to mention the area we live in is bad, and we might not be able to defend ourselves if someone decides to mug us, or just beat us up for no reason.

You've got a good point. Don't let the peer pressure get to you. And give your husband a reason to stay as well.

If he goes, just tell him not to call you with his one phone call if he gets arrested or mugged, to call his mom. Then let him go if he wants to. He'll think about that, and really it is all you can do is not be there for him if he is doing something that puts him at risk. His mom will give him the lecture you can't, and he'll think things through the next time.
