Asgan Gold-Blade stepped onto the dock, paused, and sighed. Dawnstar was even more pathetic than he'd imagined, and the bitterly cold snow only made his mood worse. His thoughts fell back to the Imperial City - strolling through the Arboretum, the sun's rays falling through the trees and the water lapping at his feet as he neared the canal.
Perhaps his blood was Nordic, but his heart was Imperial. He'd been born in the Imperial City, been surrounded by Imperial friends and become very accustomed to Imperial luxuries. His father's attempts to instill him with Nordic traditions and culture had failed and ended years before, and his mother had no objections to life in Cyrodiil. Life as son of an Elder Councillor had its advantages.
But, of course, that comfortable life in the Imperial Capital seemed a lifetime ago. One piece of his Nordic heritage that Asgan had never forgotten was Talos - the Ninth Divine, the One to the Eight, the man who conquered Tamriel and was rewarded with Godhood. Talos had been a Nord just like Asgan, and Talos represented everything Asgan wanted to be. Powerful. Successful. Famous. Heroic. Just a few short years before Asgan's birth, Talos had been worshipped as openly as Akatosh - he'd been the Ninth! And when Asgan discovered this, and that the Thalmor had put an end to the worship of this God, a rage began bubbling inside of him. A rage that would lead to his secret worship of Talos, the Thalmor's discovery of his worship, and his Father's desperate act of sending youngest son to a backwater town in Skyrim, away from the prying eyes of the Thalmor.
He let out another sigh as a tone-deaf sailor began singing. He'd arrived in his cold prison, convicted of worshipping one of the Nine. And he hated it already.

QUOTE(Lopov @ Apr 24 2013, 08:45 PM) Welcome Asgan Gold-Blade! Is this your brand new PC character, Sol?
It sure is! He's actually my first PC character - my first, Silus, was more of a test character. Asgan would thank you, but he's stuck in Quicksilver Mine. Poor guy is NOT happy

Windpeak Inn stood as a sign of mirth to the people of Dawnstar, be you miner or sailor all were welcome to a pint and a song to chase away the problems of the day to day. Though on this day none were merry within the halls. The bard sat quite and the patrons followed suit. There was a feeling in the air, oppressive and powerful. All felt it, but none put it to word. Wrongness had taken root in Dawnstar and it's name was Caius Letholis.
Caius sat alone for none dared to share the Imperial's table. He'd not said a word when he entered the inn, he had simply walked to the far corner table, sat his Orcish helm down, propped his ancient claymore against the wall, and took his seat. Occasionally people would catch Caius gazing out at a patron, one might swear he'd a hungry look in his eye. Like that of a beggar eyeing what he might hope to be a free meal, should he get his hands on it.
After some time normalcy began to creep back into the hall. The people were able to just ignore the oddity that was Caius. A few dared speak with friends, small talk mostly. Anything to try an nurture a sense of right. In one fell swoop all semblance of calm was shattered yet again by the rumbling of Caius' voice.
"I'm looking for someone." He's said, turning in his seat to stare out at the few patrons. A silence fell over the hall, all eyes were on Caius. His voice commanded as much as he continued, "Silus Vesuius, where is he and this "Mythic Dawn Museum"?"

Excellent. I've done a couple quests in Dawnstar; if you haven't done the 'main' quest there yet, I won't spoil, but it gets kinda psychadelic.

Hey guys, new member. Saw this through a google search and was interested. Currently playing a Nord, back story. Ex-legion who fled the Imperial City only to be captured upon crossing the border to Skyrim. Realises that the stormcloaks are going about things the wrong way and has joined the legion. Now traversing the depths of Bleak Falls Barrow

We all welcome you here, M3gagl1tch. I don't know if you've been to Bethesda's official forums, but over there it's like a large city, where there's lots of traffic and noise and transients, and plenty of brawls. Chorrol's more like a country hamlet, where we all pretty much know one another. And now a quick update on all of mine. Lord Haaf-Mersey is still in Riften, about to get married to Mjoll the Lioness. I haven't been with the Lord for a couple weeks, though. Mycharonna the Ice Witch is ...um....heading north. She just sated her thirst for blood by invading a small farmhouse, and doing her usual routine of hypnotizing her victim. I forget why she's headed north, actually. Oh yeah...she's going to some lair. I forget why, though. Dark Brotherhood stuff. I'll have to check my new Mycharonna Wordpad folder. I've been in the habit lately of writing little notes for all my character's quests in simple word files, and then saving them. I like this better than my old method of relying on the in-game journals, which (after awhile) become cluttered with dozens of quests my characters will never accomplish. Mycharonna is supposed to check out (possibly join) both the Stormcloaks and the Imperials according to her in-game quest logs, for instance, yet will never accomplish either of these tasks. The file I've been writing myself on the other hand only has the quests she's interested in. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Apr 27 2013, 07:50 AM

^ *Snorts*... ... Today, Erich Krannt (sic) decided to have himself away to the jolly delightful sounding island of Solstheim... Sadly, on his trip he realised that he was, and had never been a sailor... ... There, he met a jolly nice and decent chap who for the measly sum of 500 gold coins would protect his manly - and indeed many - parts from large men with swords...This has so far been a good investment...What with the dragur deathlords in a mine and whatnot... ---------------------------- Yeeeeess, we resurrected our Erich and went for a different hired help than the usual ones...He's very cool...That one who's name I presently forget...The one in the Retching Netch...Sounds like John Hurt and seriously kicks arse... So we did the "Baby's first Solstheim dungeon" and went through the mine for the pickaxe sort of thing... Sadly, I think it's too soon to do it again after the intensive hammering J'zirlo gave the place...So we may leave Erich there for a wee bit and go back to.... J'ZIRLO!!!!...Hell yeah!!...Ooooh my little tank character... ...How I have missed thee!!... Seriously...I've been playing much the same way for years and it's so hard to get out of the habit of charging in and soaking up the punishment... Plus...Ebony sword Erich - 15 damage... Ebony sword J'zirlo - 95 at last time I saw it... Robert go back to J'zirlo for a bit...We go mining...*Sighs happily*...

QUOTE(Grits @ Apr 17 2013, 09:56 PM) How strange! Maybe those three Legionnaires were going to re-liberate Whiterun. Jerric just passed his 100th game hour in the company of friends at the Bannered Mare. Freshly Ice Stormed crab legs cooked in butter and washed down with Argonian Bloodwine for Darnand and all the ale that Hulda would sell him. Funnily enough Darnand (Marcurio) equipped a tankard when Jerric told him to sit on the bench. It was festive. Later they climbed Dragonsreach so Jerric could attempt to piss onto the Whitewatch Tower. It was a glorious night of clear skies and saucy wenches. (Saadia told him that if he wanted more to eat or drink he should talk to Hulda. Then she sashayed over and stood with her rear end in Darnands face.) Hulda needs to order more ale. Thats all right, though. Jerric will just have mead for breakfast. SPEW !!! Jerric is from ETN !!!!

Trey (version what-the-heck-ever) the Nord- in his pursuit of truth, justice, and shiny stuff that he can spend...
No wait- in seeking to go where no Treydog character has gone before- i.e. finish the Winterhold quests- found himself in a Dwemer ruin.
Said ruin was full of Dwemer guardian constructs- OK- but also full of nasty blind elf-types- and their nasty "pets". And Trey- like his creator- has "issues" with multi-legged, slithery, poisonous, exo-skeletal, skittery... (shudders)...
And- because besides the whole "be a mage" thing, he is also the first of my characters to do anything with enchanting- he had ZERO magical weaponry... It was... interesting
If one defines "interesting" as nearly getting killed every time one goes through a door.
So- for now Trey is back in Whiterun to unload his.... to repair his gear and make some new potions. And MAYBE get a really nice bow that will set things he shoots in fire. Fire good! (He IS a Nord after all).
Soon it will be back to Winterhold to see if he get past the previous glitch.
