So the ride home from school was extra exciting today. We got caught in a flash flood. Everyone got out, but The Boy and I were stuck in a left turn lane in traffic with the water rising and a whole bunch of people in deeper water ignoring the light to get their cars out first. Luckily I still drive my old Suburban. There was one guy in a little white car I thought was going to climb out his sun roof, but he made it. From now on every time I start to cry at the gas pump and think about Smartcars, I’m just going to remember today!

My supervisor needs a good smack across the face. Controlling, manipulative women are alright . . .but not when I'm the fellow under their thumb!

The only smart about Smartcars are if you don't buy one...

I can tell you I've rolled past some scenes, and a Honda Civic; which is basically fiberglass, plexi-glass, with the only metal practically being the screws that hold it together, have *DEMOLISHED* the Smartcar.

By which I mean, the only way you knew what that heap of shattered glass and plastic was prior to the collision was either a placard, or maybe a door frame somehow survived.

The Driver's certainly did not...

That's kind of what my son says every time we see one driving. "They're not very smart if you get hit by something..."

They're also part of why I never back up in parking lots. I can't see the damn things at all when they're right behind me.

Lol! Yeah, me and my Partner have had so many close calls with those gd things...while we're *supposed* to get out of the rig and back each other up anyways; which, uh we *always* do, we now always do. Rain or Shine.

Being a little wet, beats giving someone an ironic death with an Ambulance.

And operating out of Los Angeles City, Capitol of Trendy Hipster-doodles, there are more of them than one would prefer...

My tattoo-less Hipster state must be what makes me want one, lol. That or I'm actually thinking it would be a pet for my real car.

The heat

My buddy and I saw a cool Smart Car a while back. The owner had mounted a big wind-up key on the back of it. The really cool thing was that it was slowly turning.

That’s a neat embellishment. I like the big eyelashes people put on the headlights.

Not really. I need a car that's at least as big as my purse.
