Im lucky that I still have my parents with me and I wish you had your mom still with you too, mALX. When my grandfather passed away my mom was devastated, but eventually she learned to cope with it and I think you will too, even though it may not seem like it now. I miss my grandfather alot but I think like this; as long as a loved one is still remembered they are never really gone. It gives me some comfort at least smile.gif

The closest to "correct" is the one who is furthest away (full marks McB- well done, that badger!)

The "original" Trey was a black and tan with silver dappling long-haired dachshund. And actually- he WOULD have been trying to play with the "kitty".

I agree with McB that the black and tan one is Trey.

I had to laugh, treydoggie, at your description of the original trey - yup, I can see him playing with the big kitty. My own B&T doxie was afraid of nuthin!
