So I recently reported a cute bunny wallowing in the grass. Yesterday he and the mama bunny spent the whole day humping ALL OVER the yard. I mean everywhere.

And today a hawk got him. Right in front of my neighbor’s house.



Stupid nature.

Which bit?...The humping or the hawk?... ...

Nah, but that is always the way of the world...Something amazing always ends up five minutes later with the pits...

Or is that just me?... ...

I hope it was papa bunny and not mama bunny, so that the day's work doesn't go wasted...

It was the papa. The mama one is nearly twice his size. He was an ambitious bunny.

She's lived in our garden far longer than a wild bunny in raptor-ville should. She has some spots on her ears where something got a piece but the rest of her escaped.

At least he didn't get hit by a car. They were running around like... well, like humping bunnies, and I was afraid they would dash into the road. Now he's making baby hawks stronger.
