Aela and the Strike Witches are holding the line against the Clans at Luthien, with 280 tons of Mech.

Finished me original Assassin's Creed... smile.gif ...

So, shockingly enough, I'm now on...Wait for it...Assassin's Creed II!!!...

The boy suggested I go in some random order, like Revelations, Brotherhood, III then II, just to make it interesting...

So I locked him in the cellar until he promised never to do it again... tongue.gif ...

I'm kidding!!...But only 'cause we don't have a cellar... devilsmile.gif ...

Heh. I have a perfectly justified reason. See, I did this quest where I had to cleave through a bunch of aliens with a fellow Sith inquisitor player. In the end we had to face this extremely hard boss. We took a good 45 minutes or more to try and defeat this guy to no avail. So I invited a few people over, and they helped us kill them. Except they didn't do the entire quest, only the end.

So when the option for the good loot popped up, me and my buddy claimed them all(though we technically couldn't even use the gear since it was only for heavy armored characters, but I needed the credtis). They called us loot ninjas and used many vulgar words laugh.gif

All I said was "Welcome to the empire, love."

They didn't do the long flashpoint tongue.gif. All they did was kill one boss, which all of us four combined, was very easy.

No loot for those who don't earn it nono.gif

Do you play MMO's McBadgere?

Aren't those Vitas kind of small? Maybe it is just my old eyes, but I would rather have my 22 inch monitor to play games on.

Or is the whole idea so that you can take it to work and play it there? wink.gif

Nah, so you'll not get the epic Sith vs Jedi thing going on that way... tongue.gif ...Sadly, the computer time has to be shared, plus maintaining relationships tends to mean not enough play time of an evening after work... biggrin.gif ...

Speaking of which...

Sadly, having parted with the money, I'm now having to agree... indifferent.gif ...We got a free Doctor Who short thing from the PS Store...The sight of the four of us trying to see the damned thing on the screen...Ayyyy...

Yes, much easier looking at the 32" T.V. behemoth in the corner rather than that thing... laugh.gif ...But, is done now...We'll see how we fare with Miss Aveline the Assassin when she arrives...

Oh, and the idea of trapsing 'cross t'fields with t'Vita in t'hand past t'cows doesn't bear thinking about... biggrin.gif ...

Seems like I'm not the only one playing Assassin's Creed at the moment. I didn't really care much for Assassin's Creed 3 so I'm actually playing through Brotherhood again. Already played through the first two games a couple of times. I don't remember whether or not I actually enjoyed Brotherhood though. I remember that I liked the city very much but that I at the same time was annoyed by the fact that the game was so focused on purchasing stores and whatnot. I thought it was Assassin's Creed, not Sim City's Creed.

Ooooh, buying all the shops and stuff so as to make a squdillion (-ish) Florins every hour was so much fun!!...That and the recruiting/sending off on missions of the Brotherhood adepts...Loved that bit!... biggrin.gif ...

I loved ACIII for much the same reason...I got the message in the corner that I was in the top 3% worldwide for monies made from trading... wink.gif ..Dear Gods I'm sad... laugh.gif ...

I discovered that there's another AC game I can get for the Vita...One called Bloodlines...It was on the PSP...Not the best, apparently, but still worth the 8 it will cost...

Ooooh Assassin's Creed?..Yes please!!...

I definitely loved Brotherhood a lot though...Excellent game...*Applauds*...

Liberation is the only game I ever really played in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Yeah, there was 1 but my computer could only barely run it so I never got far.

As for Liberation, my opinion is meh on it. The run and stab gameplay is pretty good once I got the feel for the counters, but the game suffers from a confusing storyline (too many timeskips) and especially from what I call first-wave syndrome. As a game on a brand-new console, the developers tried to make use of every single feature it has, user-friendliness be damned. The money-making minigame is an unexplained touchscreen mess, the back-camera is defective most of the time and I still don't know what the multiplayer is even supposed to be.

As for what I'm actually playing right now, there is Mass Effect 2. I don't like being forced into a terrorist/humans uber alles/umbrella corporation group who the game insists now are just misunderstood good guys. As for how true that is, their leader sits in a supervillain hideout, fancies an overly pretentious title and has Saren-eyes. If he doesn't turn out to be evil, I'll buy a hat and eat it.

Other bad things? The controls feel stiffer than in the last game and too much stuff has been crammed into the same button. Use, sprint, crouch, etc. Too much, too much!

Good things? It's prettier and actually runs better than the first game. The homebase is much easier to navigate and feels more full of life than the previous one. Hell, they even have their own Montgomery Scott!

Shepard headbutts a solid ton of armourplated violence. With his bare face. Someone flinched. That someone's name was not Shepard. cool.gif Oh, and he's got his private bathroom aboard the homebase/ship! I only found that one out when I was admiring my fany plastic model rack and the wall slid open. Neato!

The really bad thing? I just spent twenty minutes watching targetted advertisements. And I enjoyed it. blink.gif

I literally could not play ME2 because the game forced you to join the terrorists. They spend the entire first game killing Earth servicepeople, or kidnapping them and performing torturous experiments upon them. For an organization that pretends to be Pro-Earth, they have a funny way of showing it - by preying solely upon humans.

Yeah, honestly though the game spends the entire time basically trying to get you to understand that Cerberus as an organization isn't a very nice group and is willing to do anything it takes to preserve and protect the human race but in the end they're just scared humans. Much like many people that join radical groups.

I think that the major point is to get the player to admit that Cerberus is an terrorist group but the grunts (your entire team) are decent enough people with real lives and history when taken on an individual basis.

I was actually disappointed to see that the characters that I'd gotten to know and love so much in the second game didn't return as anything more than cameos. The only ones that you get to work with out of the whole second game are Joker, EDI, and Garrus.

I wasn't able to get into the third Mass Effect. The camera was obnoxious and the combat was meh (and seemed buggy too). I lost interest before the story got going I guess.
