And short does not necessarily mean harmless. I know this guy who´s about half my height but he´s a black belt in karate and has the shortest fuse you´ll ever encounter. His arms are thinner than mine but I bet he can pack a good punch with them
I´ve practiced karate too but I´m a much more calm person than he is. That can be both good and bad in a fight.

Exactly. People assume I can't defend myself well because I'm little. They usually ale teasing too far, and get physical, then I get mad and they usually end up having to leave me alone...

Not anymore?

I took Tae Kwan Do too, until it was time for the assessment test where you kick a board to determine if you're ready to pass to the next stripe. The place was gonna charge my parents like $300 to take the test, so I never made it past white belt.

I sucked anyways. I had zero confidence and kind of cried whenever I had to demonstrate anything.

We don´t have those kinds of tests in karate. We do the kata and then some fighting against each other and the master decides whether or not we pass.

I could never do boxing. It´s against my nature to just use my hands in a fight. Low-kicks are your friends, people

I don't take Tae Kwon Do anymore, but I got you yellow belt

In karate that´s in the middle I believe. After that it´s green, brown and then black. Black belt btw comes in ten "upgrades".

How far up is yellow in tkd?

Thern my memory serves me well

I almost got a punch in the face in a bar a few years back. As we were walking in, one passed by me on the left and while he did that he got heavily pushed by another guy whom he´d had an argument with outside. He never saw who pushed him though but as I was just there naturally he thought I did it so he rushed up to me and stared the Stare of Death™ but never did anything.
As he saw how confused I was from that sudden rush and stare he held back, I said (being quite puzzled) "Hi" where upon he nodded and slowly went away as he understood I didn´t do it.

Just goes to show how easy it is to become involved in a fight

Nice workshop Mirocu! I love the tool bucket and stool! My (late) husband used to go to construction sites and pick up the sections of 2 X 4's that were thrown out and make picnic tables and benches out of them - really simple "X" construction, but he sold hundreds of them for 25 dollars each and the materials were all free - good profit.
