It was very shallow. I didn't expect anything more from it after playing Fable II though. It's more fun with a friend to coop with, which is how I played it.

IMO Fable 2 was a much better game, although it was only mud puddle deep, it still had plenty of customization and was less clunky than the game that followed it. The third installment was a major de-evolution of the series in pretty much every way and served as a reminder of why Peter Molyneux shouldn't be involved in the creation of videogames.

Played some Chip´s Challenge today again. But these days I only stick to one level, level 102 I think it is. I love sliding around on the ice and see how many turns I can take before something hits me!

OMG, I absolutely LOVE Chip's Challenge! I have it on my dinosaur PC, but Microsoft stopped packaging it in the Vista's!

Do you have to have a "DOSBox" to play it?

I have been playing a lot of War Thunder. It is an open beta MMO that is free to play. You can pay to play as well, unlocking perks that are unavailable when playing for free. But I stick to the free version, since it is enjoyable enough without opening my wallet.

The game itself is a flight simulator of WWII aerial combat, with plans to add land and sea units as game development moves forward. It should probably be played with a joystick, but plays very well with mouse and keyboard controls. This is what I do because I don't own a joystick. The game's graphics and physics are excellent, making it all the more addicting.

I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys this genre of gaming. I don't know if I am allowed to post the web site for the game here, but you can Google War Thunder and get there easy enough.

I can play it on my old (dinosaur) 10 gig "XP upgrade from Windows 98" machine, but not the Vista PC. I used to keep the dinosaur up on my dining room table just to play Chip's Challenge when the mood hit, but when I stayed at my Mom's at the end of last year my husband dismantled it.

Favorite room in that game, mALX?

Haven't played in a while, but I think my absolute favorite was 141 (?) - the one that was all sand with only a few oddly placed bars of stone (each containing paramecia). Everywhere you walked laid more stone down, and you had to connect to the ones with the paramecia to get to the finish line.

Of course the easiest way to do it is to cover the entire floor in stone so the paramecia just walk around the perimeter. Since that level was untimed I kind of made it a personal challenge to get every bit of sand made to stone before going to the warp pod into the next level. There were a few levels that I liked well enough to play on instead of just getting to the pod (and were untimed so I could set my own rules for that level).

There are about 5 levels I have never been able to pass, had to take the easy way out and let them move me up; it was the only way I could beat the game.

I think I know which one it is, love it too! But it´s not just paramecia, there are spiders too And it´s a much lower level than 141. And it wasn´t untimed...
Amongst us three siblings we have gotten up The Catwalk (?) level which is up where your favorite was. (It´s after Thank you, Tony)

I also liked the level with only a bunch of bombs and a clone machine with fireballs. As it´s untimed I, like you mALX, made my own personal challenges on that level. I tried to clear as many bombs I could but there are some in the corners that you can´t get. At least not without sacrifying the pushable blocks and thus missing out on other bombs. It was so much fun when you made it so the clone machine produced the fireballs very rapidly and the bombs went bambambambambambambambam!

We have never beaten this game though

That level with the bombs was a little too easy, I was surprised it was untimed - so like you, I spent my time clearing out every single bomb I could get, lol.

Yeah, it´s an easy level but it has BOMBS!!!

It´s untimed because you have to be patient; you have no other choice. But like I said, my fav now is level 102 called ICEHOUSE. Also easy but it´s fun to mess around

There are so many levels I just don´t bother with. Too much bumping into invisible walls n´stuff

Btw, how long Before you figured out the Trust Me level?

Just tried the War of Thunder. I do enjoy it even though I'm not very good at it. Every now and then I get someone on my tail that I just can't shake no matter what I do.

I have always played that level through, never knew about the glitch till the last time I played! How stupid was that, lol. I actually loved going through that level, and it did take a while to figure out the path to win safely without knowing about the glitch, lol.

What glitch?

You have to type in what you want the character to do. Type in "fart" and see what happens. I can't get past level 3 in this one, lol.

I´m beginning to think we play two different games!

The Trust Me level I talk about in Chip´s Challenge has several yellow keys but only one you can reach. You just run to the right, go down past the paramecium clone machine (and the button controlling it) and get the key and then you just run back to where you started where also the warp hole is.
It´s quite fun, they gave that level plenty of time when you really only need less than ten! Tricky bastards!
