QUOTE(mirocu @ Jul 7 2013, 04:08 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Jul 7 2013, 10:04 PM) The seven second glitch, RU, grab the first key on your (down corridor on right) and run back to the start. How about this game, have you ever played it?
Iīm beginning to think we play two different games! The Trust Me level I talk about in Chipīs Challenge has several yellow keys but only one you can reach. You just run to the right, go down past the paramecium clone machine (and the button controlling it) and get the key and then you just run back to where you started where also the warp hole is. Itīs quite fun, they gave that level plenty of time when you really only need less than ten! Tricky bastards! Edit: Oh. I see now. I misread *several palms in the face* And I couldnīt get the page up but no, Iīve probably never played it Yeah, for years I was going straight down, then fighting my way across, sliding on the ice, getting shoes, going back, running up ramps, etc - last time I played I ended up finding the glitch where you can cheat and pass that board in 7 seconds, lol. I like my way better, more fun. (but did the seven second glitch to get a good time on that board for my score).

Neverwinter Nights is the game that got me into roleplaying. Back in 2002 three games came out, one right after the other: Dungeon Siege in April, Morrowind in May and Neverwinter Nights in June. I liked Dungeon Siege and Morrowind, but neither of them really grabbed me at the time. I came from a first-person shooter background, so I had no idea what Dungeons & Dragons actually was. I'd heard news stories and watched talk shows back in the 80's (when I still had a TV) about kids who became obsessed with the games. That's the extent of my knowledge about roleplaying games back in 2002. This, from someone who grew up within bicycle-riding distance of Lake Geneva during the very years Gygax was inventing the genre. *embarrassed* Anyway, NWN arrived on my porch about the time I was losing interest in Morrowind. And I was enthralled. I played for 6 and 8 hours a day. And when I finished I did something I've never done before or since: I immediate started a new game. I loved that game. I became so fascinated I started ordering anything Dungeons-and-Dragons oriented I could from Amazon dot com. I bought Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Temple of Elemental Evil, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, and on and on. I started buying fantasy books and watching fantasy movies. It was a really horrible time in my life and all this fantasy kept me sane and alive. The Morrowind forums were a snake pit of negativity in those days so I spent my online time on the Black Isle and Bioware forums that summer. I gradually began to learn what roleplaying was. I returned to Morrowind when Bethesda announced Tribunal in September. And this time I had some kind of idea what was going on with this game. I liked it a lot more the second time around. I might never have given Morrowind a second chance if it weren't for Neverwinter Nights. Sorry for the long-winded reminiscence. This post has been edited by Pseron Wyrd: Jul 11 2013, 04:48 AM

QUOTE(Pseron Wyrd @ Jul 11 2013, 05:47 AM) *snipperoo of random ramblings* Sorry for the long-winded reminiscence. Donīt apologize! That was interseting to read even though I knew some of it already Sounds like NWN is the game for me then. Should I care to bother looking for it Is it like Deus Ex, i.e should I get the first game first or is it like the Terminator movies and I should get the second one? One could argue I should get the first Terminator movie first because then I get the story better and it is a good movie too, but you get what I mean! I hope

NWN2 obviously has better graphics, more voice acting, etc... It has more cinematic-style cutscenes too. But other than that they basically play the same. Get one, and if you like it get the other one. You should be able to get the Diamond/Platinum editions for a good price these days. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Jul 11 2013, 07:34 PM
