QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 23 2013, 05:28 PM) Sometimes. I'm having a little trouble with using the scanner to put what we're doing in the system, but once I get past that, I'm a speed demon.
That's good. At least the job isn't too stressful, lol

QUOTE(ImperialSnob @ Jul 23 2013, 09:27 PM) October can't come faster.
I need my Walking Dead fix!
Both the game's season 2 and series 4 of the show will be coming!
I can't wait either. That series is amazing. The game was also surprisingly great. I'm not usually a big fan of survival games but it was well done. It really felt more like watching an interactive movie than a game. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 23 2013, 09:28 PM) Sometimes. Keeping a good attitude is the most important part of a job, especially if you're having a difficult time figuring something out. People feed off of other people's moods. If you're negative, your coworkers will most likely be negative.

Find out if they have a process for cleaning the scanner glass part, it could just need cleaning. I've gotten adept at cleaning the scanners at the grocery store and scanning my own cart to get in and out without waiting in any lines. It's not the cleaning, it's memorizing what codes do what on what menu screen. Yesterday the guy explaining it to me did it too fast and wouldn't allow me to process what he was saying, and when i asked him to repeat it, he'd scoff and slow waaaaay down and repeat it in a really rude way. I had someone else teach me today, and tomorrow, if I can find my tiny notebook, I'll write it down so I'll know the different codes.

(OK, maybe a little bit), but I hear there is some department store type place that has an extensive stationery section. Now what was the name... "Bullseye? Tarzana? Don't tell me- I'll get it in a minute." In all seriousness, about... 3 or 4 jobs ago, getting a small notebook is precisely what I did. Although I have always been proud of my memory, I finally figured out that it wasn't a contest, and there was nothing wrong with writing stuff down. Besides all that- I am glad the job is (mostly) good, barring the occasional jerk. On a side note- I would be careful of any pizza or other food Grits offers you. I'm not saying the black SUVs that seem to be loitering in my neighborhood have ANYTHING to do with that whole "Grits is secret agent" episode.... just... oh wait- there's the doorbell again. BRB

Always good to take notes when learning a new job, makes you look like a fast learner even if you might not be. (you are, I was talking about myself, lol).

I love that one,the other one is really bad,it's an FPS that has some good ideas but is pretty badly made.
