Well, I am back with my review of John Carter. If one had never read the book, then I guess it was okay. But since I have read the book, I was disappointed. I will say it was far better than what SyFy Channel did with it, but given the money that Disney spent (and lost) making it, I would have liked the script to follow the original manuscript more closely. If any of you are sci-fi/fantasy readers, (beyond these forums ), I highly recommend the series. They are all short, easy reads, averaging 200 pages per book.

Wierdly enough, I just so happened to watch that on the in-flight entertainment and (here I'll admit I've never read the books) I actually really enjoyed it; very fun sci-fi/fantasy piece, and no mistake.

QUOTE(Colonel Mustard @ Aug 10 2013, 01:57 PM) Having finally watched Pacific Rim, I've decided there are four things I want to see if there's another Pacific Rim movie made.
1. More Cherno Alpha 2. A British Jaeger, preferably one that kills a Kaiju by impaling it on Big Ben (because landmark-based Kaiju murder, hells yeah!) 3. A Jaeger using a train as a nunchuck 4. More Cherno Alpha
I'm giving you those ideas free, Hollywood!
"WE MUST CANCEL THE APOCOLYPSE!" YES WE WILL BRITISH MAN! *wipe single tear* Yes we will.....

Good movies, don't get me wrong...just Will Smith kind of plays the same character in every action movie. Independence Day: "Damn! That's a lot of Aliens!Wild Wild West: "Damn! That's a lot of Steampunk!"Bad Boys: "Damn! That's a lot of Criminals!"I, Robot: Damn! That's a lot of Robots!"Men In Black: "Damn! That's a lot of Aliens!"I Am Legend: "Damn! That's a lot of vampires!"Men In Black 2: "Damn! That's a lot of Aliens, again!

I'm a sucker for contraversial movies but this one here was a big one. The movie is called Kids, and it released in 1995. It shows us the truth of teenage sexuality in our midst and our American culture, but the way the movie actually had child actors in it and very, very crazy scenes.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

I've never seen 2 nor 3,I've only seen the first. Are 2 and 3 bad or are people overreacting?

Both really fun flicks...Smith has a line in I, Robot that kills me every time - Robots building robots...now that's just stupid
