QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Aug 15 2013, 11:52 PM) He wasn't a close friend, but I knew him. He was a graduate as well.
I dont know what to say I know of someone who died while riding his motorcycle. It was on a straight, wide road but he came in such a speed that he didnt even have a chance of reacting to the tractor that pulled up. I know where it happened, people put up flowers there. Every time I pass by there (which I do every time we go to the old cars and bikes meeting) I raise my index and middle fingers on my right hand as a salute to him.

QUOTE(mALX @ Aug 15 2013, 05:55 PM) QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Aug 15 2013, 05:47 PM) Sorry. I'm feeling a bit sick right now. I just found out a kid at my school died.
Oh Kobby, I'm so sorry I'm just shocked. Life is so short. I saw that kid a couple I months ago. And now that I think of it...that could've been me that died.

Life is short. Longer when compared to most species, but still, it's short. You never know. It's just the way things are.
It's an unchanging thing, and while you're allowed to be shocked, don't let it stop you from living your life. Whenever I heard about a friend dying, I'd mourn for a few days, then go out and do something they liked in their memory.
I had a friend from choir who got t-boned by a drunk driver. She broke her neck, while he walked away, literally, unharmed. She was the sweetest girl I'd ever met. I used to get bad panic attacks in school, and she'd sit by me and talk to me and try to make me laugh. She didn't even know me very well, just by name, yet she'd take the time out of her time with friends to make me feel better. She loved bright colors, so on the day she passed away, I like to wear my most colorful shirt.
I had a friend who committed suicide shortly before she graduated. She was bullied relentlessly, and had a bad home life(When I say bad, I mean she was pregnant with her own sibling.) and she was also in choir with me. I wrote her a song.
Another friend was hit, again, by a drunk driver. He was being scouted for a major league baseball team. I go to the batting cages for him.
Then there's my dad. He was more of a friend to me than a dad, but still. All of these people passed away around this time of the year, around September. So September is filled with memories, good and bad, for me.
We can't change that death happens. But what we can change is how it effects us. I's shocking when our own mortality rears its head at us and catches out attention. It's one of the most natural, terrifying, and inescapable parts of our life. That's why there's so much hype over it. We can't avoid it. We never know the day or the time. All we can do until that day comes, is live our lives. Enjoy ourselves, enjoy others, make memories and experiences.
Sorry it's so long.

I know what you feel like. Knew someone in high school that killed himself in the middle of the school year. I didn't know him particularly well, but it was still so weird knowing he was gone forever. I know! It...not right. This dude had a little bro that looked up to him, and his parents were real nice. He wasn't a close friend but still. QUOTE(mirocu @ Aug 15 2013, 06:14 PM) Wish I could help you, buddy This isnt easy to deal with. Maybe you can talk to your roomie? I'm not sad. Honestly, I'm just shocked.
