I deleted my facebook and it was gone for a month and a half and no one noticed. Not even my mother, who's on constantly.

I had to keep my Myspace open till after my Mom passed, she liked to get on there and look at the pictures of me and my sons, lol.

The last time Tom changed the format they changed my profile name to my full name and posted my city as well. They lost all my family and friend's photos in the change; but Myspace managed to keep all the stupid pictures of squirrels I had - then shuffled what they saved into different albums and renamed my photo albums to names THEY thought would be more appropriate for the content.

*mALX turned green, grew to giant proportions, ripped shirt off; then proceeded to rip Tom's shirt off as she deleted her account*

I deleted my Facebook account for the above comment's complaint - I don't need a web site to "help me" make friends based on how much revenue they can garner off it, and didn't like the idea they were sending my page to everyone and their brother either (just by virtue of them living in the same city).

"Hey, did you know Skankius Mooch and Murderous Assassinous both live in the same city you do and also have Facebook pages? You should be friends!"

Am I two years old? "Look, my shirt is blue and so is yours! We are twins!"

The "Beverly Hills, California" looks wonderful, but the part above looks a bit blurry, wasn't able to read the names even with my FBI "Blur See'er Through'er" ...

Oddly enough, after railing against Facebook for years - I thought the whole desperation to farm friends in order to appear popular was pathetic - because of...Reasons, I'm now on it meself...

"Oooh!!"...Says I, "Dad was always suggesting I should go on so we could keep in touch easier. Yeah, lets do that!"...

Even there he can't be arsed... ...

Still, I've had more conversations with my sister and my cousin in the last few weeks than I had for years earlier... ...It's not that I haven't spoken with my sister generally, it's just that she works long hours...As do I...I also can't be arsed phoning to talk to people when I get in... ...

I tested it for awhile, but they kept changing it and every time it got a little bit worse to deal with. Plus I don´t wanna play with forces unknown, so I signed off. And I stayed off.

While I'm using my actual real name...And no, McBadgere isn't actually my name...I've yet to input where I live, what school I went to etc...I say I'm married, but not to whom or the actual date...So it's easy enough to protect your privacy, just don't tell them your stuff!!... ...And the whole thing's set to public...

It's probably the most boring FB page anyways...Created for a single purpose, the complete annihilation of mankind...Oh no...That's the Uruk-hai...Um...Yeah...So boring...

Oh, neither are there any pictures on there with any family members on there...

I'm not worried about anyone happening across it...That doesn't mean I'm gonna friend just anyone though... ...

As I keep saying about this surveillance stuff...If you don't do anything wrong, why are you worried about what THEM read or keep or see or know about you?...

By knowing where you live, what you do, who you are related to, what web pages you visit etc etc, they can keep you under control. Look how they did it in DDR. Everyone was constantly afraid, knowing the Stasi had a file on them, and my guess is a lot of those people hadn´t done anything wrong in their entire life.
Of course, what is wrong or right depends on the current regime...

And why I ask, should the government or any shadow variant of it know so much about me? Why do they need that if as you say I have done nothing wrong?

NSA has actually done good!

They've actually found out terriost plots...BUT the CIA and FBI for some reason or another didn't crack down on these plots for some reason,now that's a bit weird.
