By law, if you work over 40 hours per week in the USA, they have to give you overtime.

I know this for a fact from the days when I was pulling in 60 hours a week for months, my checks were over double what they usually were.

Which takes months. And you'll probably be retaliated against. They wont fire you, they'll just make you want too quit.

My cats don't eat the squirrels, but will and have killed them, then left them as "presents" on my doorstep.

Example: If my housecat catches a mouse and we (gaaak) toss it outside to the feral cats, those cats feel like we have given them the prime part of our kill - like we have given them some kind of great present and they must reciprocate.

The next day I will find a dead squirrel or rabbit outside the door. I have learned to (urk) toss the dead mice into the garbage and take it out immediately instead.

If you work in some states your employer can fire you without cause. Filing a complaint is cause for immediate firing if they can, or harrassment if they can't. The best thing to do is find out the laws in your area first.
