Yes. You should make time and a half at least, unless he is paying you so much per hour that it covers that shift (like paying you as if you were contract instead of hourly)

The 40 hours thing is law over here...But, I suppose, like over there, there's some who flout it...I know of a few that get paid the same hourly rate however many hours they work...It's bad form that...

What's sad is minimum wage up there is a whole dollar higher than what I was paid as a manager at the dollar store.

Don't hate him, just love yourself enough to find something better. He is just doing it because he can get away with it; (you need money and he needs someone who is desperate enough to work long hours).

I think they pay women less up here than they do men.

So, I made vegetarian sloppy joes. Not as filling as meat, but meat is expensive.

The bar was empty in the early afternoon. The man put out his cigarette as a dark figure entered, and the bells jingling announced his arrival.

He walked over, his footsteps echoing off the walls, past the tables with the chairs still up.

He sat down, and looked at the other man with business in his eyes.

"You the one they call...Squirrel Hunter?" He asked.

The man blinked and cracked his neck, taking one more shot of his bourbon and set the shot glass down.

"Maybe. Depends whos asking." He replied.

"John Q. Obscuromano. And ten thousand of his friends." He said slamming the wad of cash down on the table.

The man picked it up and fanned through the bills of Dead Presidents, smiling and nodding in appreciation.

"In that case, I'm the hunter of any form of rodentia you desire to see demised." He grinned and poured two shots in celebration and agreement.

They clinked glasses and threw the shots back.

Ooooh, that's a lot of good squirrel meat!

She sat down, and looked at the other man; both with business in their eyes.

"You the one they call...Black Hand Hunter?" She asked.

The man blinked and cracked his neck, taking one more shot of his bourbon and set the shot glass down.

"Maybe. Depends whos asking." He replied.

"Susie Q. Squirrelorama. And over ten thousand of my rodentia friends." She rolled out a wad of cash from some hidden pouch and slid it across the table till it rested next to a smaller pile already laying there.

The man's slow smile of satisfaction grew to a big grin as he fanned through the bills of dead Presidents. He leaned back his head and roared with laughter, then nodded in appreciation.

"Little lady rodent, you've got yourself a deal. You want that Black Hand, I'll get it for you. I'll bring you his hand in proof, a friend of mine is a taxidermist."

"I'd like that." She smiled mischievously.

They clinked glasses to seal the deal, then threw their heads back and roared in laughter.













"BWAAHAAHAA!"
