But turtles are cool

You mean like those giant ones that live to be hundreds of years old - like from the Galapagos or something?

I brought my son to the zoo when he was ten and was the unfortunate witness to those enormous things mating.

"What's he doing that for? Are they fighting? What is that noise he's making, is that a growl?"

I won't even begin to tell you what the monkeys were doing.

Box turtles are semi-acquatic pet-suitable turtles, so named because they resemble a box.

I was...attacked by one. I was 8. He seemed hungry. I...decided to feed him by hand.

He then proceeded to latch his sharp beak onto the tip of my finger for a half hour. It was very painful and to this day I despise turtles.

My son did, and some kinky crap at the monkey cage too. I think even the snakes were rolling around that day. It must have been spring fever or something.
