Did you play 1 and 2? I played 2, but not 1. In 2, my character bore a startling resemblance to Gordon Brown, which made the game absolutely ludicrous in the best way possible.

Diablo 3. I used to love RPGs like this but honestly it is hard to enjoy these button mashing games with really high 3rd person camera angles after being spoiled by the detailed open world games that we enjoy today.

Kiln, I spent many years in Diablo II and its expansion. Not very deep roleplay of course but, for some reason, I quite enjoyed playing my mystic archer bowazon there. But yes, it did challenge the speed and dexterity of my older fingers. Fondly remember doing countless gem shrine runs. Then she moved to Baldur's Gate II and spent quite a few years there before transitioning to our current home in Cyrodiil. My problem is always that several generations of games whiz past before I'm anywhere near ready to move on. I mean I've only been playing Oblivion for just over a mere six years now. I joke that when I'm ready for a new game, it may be something like TES XIV or Baldur's Gate IX. It'll always be a medieval fantasy RPG of some sort though. Oh, Impie, what does the A mean in ARPG?

Action, I think.

D3 is just not fun. Supposedly they are reworking the loot system and removing the auction houses, so that could make it more fun down the road. Right now though... I'm bored after 15 mins. Yeah I played it for about an hour and it didn't interest me much. I dunno. I assumed that I'd just outgrown these types of top down RPGs because of playing so many other third person games with better cameras and more interesting gameplay. Basically, it just isn't for me. Lots of people seem to love the new Diablo game though.

Playing Mass Effect 3 over again at the moment. It is a pretty unique game in the way that it takes into account who you've kept alive and your relationship with said characters and acts accordingly. I also like that it is a cover based shooter with some RPG elements. I'll admit that the second game is still my favorite because of all of the character interaction and the focus on building your team and gaining their loyalty but the third game is still very enjoyable.
My favorite part of the entire game is the interaction with the various characters of the ME universe. Creating great characters is definitely Bioware's strongest skill. I found myself advancing the story just to see how it would move forward my relationships with characters. The story is also great IMO and despite a couple of plot holes that were never addressed after the first game, it was still pretty across the whole trilogy.
The dialogue is great and the voice actors are all good enough that you can actually immerse yourself into the game without having said immersion broken by bad voice actors, unlike some games (looking at you Two Worlds with a couple of your voice actors that sound like drunk confederate soldiers).

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”
