...Here's some farm based piccies...Boss' Tractor doing straw chopping...See, we do have a tractor!!... The weird Combine Harvester thing we plug the tractor into that gave us all the hassle this year...Grrrr... My Tractor being all "Good little snowplough" this year... A pile 'o' grass that I shoved into the shed in the same way as that video I showed way back when... The pile 'o' grass sheeted up and weighed down with A fat cow...That the boss and brother insist on calling "Cutie Cow"...  ...*Shrug*...I no no...(Our county hall is in the background...A piece of 1960s "Modernism"...  ...)...Our local town...Mold...Yes people, I'm a fungi to be with!!...Yes? ...No?  ...No...  ...An epic cloud that I took a picture on the way home to a house that is sadly to the right of this shot, but basically looks like one of them at the bottom there... And lastly, Spot the dog...*Points*...There he is!!!...This is the hay-field that is right behind the house...And when you think of the irony of a farmer with chronic hay-fever living right behind a field of mature hay...Well, it hurts my head... Don't let those adorable doe eyes fool ya! Try to get their heart rates with your stethoscope and they'll fling you across the barn! These Jersey cattle are on the smallish side and somewhat resemble Bambi, but that's as far as the cuteness goes.
I always liked working with Holsteins and Guernseys. They're bigger and craggier looking, but are very nice cows to work with. My favorite bovine patient was a Guernsey who always knew what I wanted to do and was always cooperative. Just can't judge a book (or a cow) by her cover, huh? -------------------- |
