I don't know what's up with me, but I'm getting hardly any sleep and don't feel tired at ALL until about eight P.M., then I go to sleep and wake up every hour until it's time to go to work.

And last night I had a nightmare that I was late to work, and they fired me. I bet that's the dream waking me up every night.

On the subject of being late in dreams, I used to dream I was late when I was going out hunting. I always go out in the early morning when it´s pitch black and in the dream it was bright outside and I was running to my sniper tower super-stressed! laugh.gif

Recently I've just had trouble getting to sleep anytime before 2am, and I get up at 7.

As for dreams I've not had a single dream I can remember for nearly a decade, and I used to remember them so clearly. I suspect I'm subconsciously blocking them from my mind.

Have you tried staying up later? Maybe making yourself more tired will result in a deeper sleep. I often find if I'm trying to get to sleep when I'm not really tired I'm more likely to doze and wake up a couple of times before really getting to sleep.

Drink more black tea, it reduces the cortisol levels that cause higher stress levels. Not quite before bed, but throughout the day.

Call it 'counting sheep', but I count the beads on my mala until my inner dialogue has ceased. I also resolve to face any of the trials that face me the next day, head on so as not too live with the anxiety associated with that. Like they say, if there is something you can do about it, do it and do not worry. If there is nothing you can do about it, why worry? Either way, there is no point in worrying about anything.

Being mindful is different. You simply are aware of what is there, and what; if anything, can be done in relation to it. Otherwise, it is not worth an emotional investment.

I'm not even worried about anything.

I think it's a surge of hormones. According to my mother, that's what it is. A weird, completely out of place surge of hormones. I'm not even upset, just randomly crying. I don't get it.

But I will be grabbing more black tea. Maybe some honey(clover, less expensive) and lemon juice. That combo always calms me right down.
