I bet she is sad.gif Losing someone is always terrible, but I tend to see things from their point of view. Like with my grandfather (on my mother´s side). He was getting worse and worse physically and had a hard time doing basically anything. When he died of course I was sad but I was surprised that I very clearly saw it all from his perspective. Now all his hardships were gone. No more struggling just going to the bathroom. No more endless boredom from not being able to go out and do things as he used to do, he loved working in the woods, btw.

I know this isn´t a universal formula, it may just work for me. Best thing you can do now I think, is to comfort each other and talk about what a wonderful person she was and how lucky you all were for having her smile.gif

It still hurts. She was the only person who didn't talk [censored] about me when I left my husband. She actually told him he needed to straighten out so I'd come back to him. She never blamed me or disliked me. She loved my son immensely.

Sorry to hear that, Liz. I know it can be tough but at least she's not in any pain.

I woke up, showered, dried my hair, started to fix it, and just lost it. I was fine over the weekend. It hit me just now.

It can do that. You´re "fine" as long as it happens so to speak, but it catches upp with you when you relax and get some distance to it.

Hopefully you´ll feel better soon Hug_emoticon.gif

What wise mirocu said.

Yes- it sneaks up on you. Yes- it gets better. No- it never completely "goes away." But- the good memories begin to outweigh the sense of loss.

And- we are here whenever you need someone to talk to.

Definitely. Eventually when you get even further away you will only remember the good things and you will also more and more cherish the fact you had that person in your life.

Thanks, y'all. They want me to sing at her funeral. I don't know if I can.

You giving a heart-rendering rendition of "Wishing you were somehow here again" would be quite apropos and stunning. Especially the emotion you clearly have to put into it.

If I had the cash, I'd totally stipulate that into my Will.

"If EH want's this Inheritance, she's gotta put it down at the ceremony."

How beautiful that would be! And what a wonderful send-off tribute that would be for her. Hug_emoticon.gif

Although I agree with everyone else that that would be amazing, don't feel obligated too. If you can't, then you can't.

Only do it if you feel like it, Liz. It shouldn´t feel like a burden, but then again it might be something you regret if you don´t do it. Sorry if that last thing made it even worse. I just thought I´d give you a heads-up kvleft.gif
