QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Nov 4 2013, 11:30 PM) QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 4 2013, 10:06 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Nov 4 2013, 11:02 PM) Wouldn't that make you partially responsible for Ragnarok? Mmmmmmaybe Fun fact: Ragnark doesnt actually mean the end of all things. It means the beginning of something new. Although, you can only get there by ending whats currently in place which is why that word is associated with destruction. It might lead to something new, but it is as much destruction as a new beginning. No, Ragnark isnt about destruction, aka the last war between the gods and the giants, its about something new being created afterwards. I have a book about this, ya know The general idea that its the name of the last war where everything gets destroyed is a big misunderstanding that is very hard to kill. The book clearly states this. The book clearly states this. I'm not talking about the war, or at least not solely about it. As you said the new beginning can only be reached by ending what's currently in place. That means that destruction is a necessary component of that new beginning, so it can no more be cast aside than the new beginning can. It's destruction and creation working in harmony as part of a larger cosmic cycle, resulting to the death and rebirth of the universe. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Nov 4 2013, 11:25 PM) I'm at my mother in law's house, and got some crackers for my chili. I sat down, and within three seconds, all of the toddlers in the house swarmed me and took my crackers.
Sigh.
[Documentary voice] And here we see one of nature's most effective predators; the toddler. Indivually weak and easily handled, in packs they are virtually unstoppable, swarming victims and all but swiping the food from their mouths, then scattering in an attempt to look cute to deter pursuit. Between this and the fearsome protective instincts of their parents, toddlers have no natural predators, leaving them at te top of the food chain, and no effective defense against toddlers has ever been found, beyond using chairs of impractical height.
