QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Nov 19 2013, 03:50 PM) Well, the Dominion's the white elephant in the room. I'd say somewhere in the Aldmeri territories. Summerset Isle'd make a good one, since the natural sea boundary saves any glaring invisible walls, and Valenwood's probably too heavily forested and wild to be practical. I'd say either the Isle or Elsweyr.
I'd disagree with your reason for ruling out Valenwood. Especially if a lot were to be set up in arboreal cities, which get up and move from time to time. I don't expect the Dominion to be dealt all at once, so I'd expect Valenwood or Elsweyr as the next, with the resurgent Empire, or something else that will take its place - maybe a republic, with an elected head - pushing the Thalmor back toward the Summerset Isle. That leaves another game in the series to deal with the final offensive into their territory. I would like to see technology advance a bit, and someone start to understand and reproduce the Dwemer technology - mechanisms powered by magical forces. They've already hinted in that direction, with the Skyrim automata containing soul gems as well as scrap metal and gyros. Since soul gems get used to recharge weapons, it would make sense for them to be used like batteries to power automata, too. Welkynds and varlas would do the same job, but get their magicka from other (geological) sources. Throw in a way to recharge the welkynds and varlas over time at an Ayleid well, and you've got a power economy that fits the lore. And I also expect a Black Marsh episode some time to fill in the Hist side of the picture. That doesn't have to be part of the Empire/Dominion story, or even run concurrently. QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Nov 19 2013, 09:08 PM) Good point, erm...y'know, they have essentially used almost all of their plot devices. Daedra, dragons, deities, an OP imp...I dunno now... They've still got one or two up their sleeve. For instance: Did you know that Pelinal Whitestrake was actually a time-travelling robot from the future? Fifth Era I believe. QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Nov 19 2013, 09:11 PM) Oh, and an Akaviri game would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I'm dubious they'd want to step too far from the Empire, but it could happen. Black Marsh on the other hand, I really doubt. A place like that is just begging for a hardcore mode, but playing as an Argonian would pretty much negate that. I think they might jump to the 5th Era, just because they likely have no clue how to resolve the Thalmor satisfactorily, and give us a steampunk TES.

QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Nov 19 2013, 09:57 PM) Maybe the player was a Renjira Krin agent who was captured by the Thalmor, and escapes from slavery in the opening cutscene/tutorial.
ALready taken. Except for the Thalmor plot.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.â€

QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Nov 19 2013, 09:18 PM) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NONONONONONONO!!! I would maybe be on board with a Renaissance-Tes, but STEAMPUNK NEEDS DWARVES, DAMMIT! At that point there's time-travel, meaning the possibility of rewriting history and stopping the DWEMER disappearing by moving them forward in time rather than out of the universe. That way they don't majorly screwup the lore, but still are able to bring them back. QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 19 2013, 09:18 PM) I stick with my Ayleids thoery You mean an Ayleid resurgence? Or going back to the days of Pelinal getting all genocidal?
