It's a shame the sequel wasn't as good, though being able to have a plasmid and a gun ready was a welcome improvement. The atmosphere just wasn't the same though, that quasi-religious fanatical therapist or whatever she was really couldn't compete with Andrew Ryan or Atlas.

Though being a Big Daddy was rather amusing.

Yep, you really are a Big Daddy, one of the early models that's bonded to a single Little Sister. You've even got the Drill and everything.

On Bioshock: I've played the first two on hard (snort!) difficulty and personally found it much more enjoyable. Infinite on hard was way less fun for some reason, probably because of how the combat is reworked, but the first two hard mode were, for me, the perfect level of challenging.



And on a related note, right now my everything hurts after a karate session. All of it. All of my everything hurts real bad.

Well I do recall a few parts of each game that were particularly hairy on normal, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they're like on hard. I'm dreading every single fight with a Big Daddy though, those things were nightmares on normal difficulty. Damn things always tore chunks out of me over and over again.

Well... Here I am.

I took a nap and woke up with a huge headache.

I get that sometimes If I wake up too tired and go back to bed. I hate it when that happens.

Never been able to shift those headaches, nasty things. Hope your's doesn't stick around too long.

It was replaced with stomach cramps. I'll be happy when these frequent stomach aches go away.

Ugh, family gathering later, my mum's 50th birthday.

My family are all insane. And I'm liable to be attacked by a 6 year old. Again.

I know your predicament. My grandma is getting 90 next January but I won´t go to her party. I´ve gotten too much sh*t from relatives treating me like a ducking five-year-old with no manners. I still like my grandma but she turns bad when she´s in a big crowd, same with my aunt. So I´m ditching that party.
I still like my grandma though so I´ll give her presents, a small cake, some flowers and sing her the birthday song. But I´ll do it when it´s just me and her which is on Friday afternoons when we play poker

Though I know everyone will hate me for not coming to the big thing but I can take that. What I don´t want is sitting for hours with people I don´t want to sit for hours with.

Yikes. Can't blame you for ditching that. I got rather lucky on that front, as the oldest of the younger generation I'd be the one left to keep the others in line, or at least relatively quiet if nothing else, while the adults congregated in another room.

I don't so much mind the family, but between the six year old who's nuts about me, and one of my other cousins, who's like a decade younger than me and thinks he's "'ard", it gets rather tiring.

At least there's plenty of party food and cake.

I really hate those family getting together stuff, I just dont´want do be there. Which I won´t this time. The straw that broke the donkey´s back was a couple years ago when my aunt teared me a new one because I was about to take food when it was presented to us. We were all guests at her and her man´s house and I thought I´d take some real quick so my grandma could take right after me and I´d be out of the way but oh-ho no! She had to take first because she was the oldest and she was female! Like, what´s that got to do with anything!??

Afterwards I learned that everyone thought my aunt was completely batsh*t and I haven´t spoken to her since. I mean, what the hell was she thinking!? You don´t do that in this day and age! At least not to me, goddammit.
