QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Dec 27 2013, 11:03 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Dec 27 2013, 06:01 PM) QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Dec 27 2013, 11:00 PM) So. Do we just leave the dragon there or what? Well it's not stopping anyone getting into the thread, and it hasn't harmed anyone... Who didn't poke it with a stick at least. So I say yeah, let it be. Who doesn't like dragons? Peasants and villagers and knights Well, knight don't like anything except shiny srmour and horses As for peasant villagers, I don't think we have any in the thread, so we're all right. Right? Nobody around here hates dragons, do they?

QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Dec 27 2013, 11:11 PM) Dragons are awesome No knights, peasants, it villagers? Mkay. The dragon can stay! That's a relief. Fun fact: According to the Chinese Zodiac, I'm born in the year of the dragon QUOTE(mirocu @ Dec 27 2013, 11:10 PM) I don´t care too much for dragons actually. Bit complicated as to why though Gah! Curiosity once more rears it's head. Edit: And now must wait!! This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Dec 28 2013, 12:15 AM

QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Dec 28 2013, 01:38 AM) We're the worst, honestly. Animals act on instinct entirely. We do bad things because we find it enjoyable.
Or because we don't view them as bad things.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.â€

Or because we don't view them as bad things. True. But some people torment other living things because they find it enjoyable. Animals do that too. They hate just like people do, and they can be sadistic just like people are. I have seen a documentary about a pride of lions that focused upon their rivalry with the local hyenas. Near the end the dominant male lion got ahold of the dominant female hyena (the females are the ones who run the pack in hyena-ville). The lion broke the hyena's back with one bite. But he didn't finish her off. Nor did he eat her like a prey animal. He just left her to die slowly, in front of all the other hyenas. It was not a simple act of a predator making a meal, it was war, just like the kind we humans fight. Likewise, I have literally seen killer whales 'playing' with a seal before eating it. They batted it around for a while, specifically going out of their way not to kill it, even though one bite would have cut the poor seal in half. Even after the pummeling finally killed the seal, they still smacked the corpse around, like they were playing soccer with it (Football for you Europeans). So animals can be just as sick and twisted as humans. They don't kill just because they have to. Some of the do it because they like it. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Dec 28 2013, 02:31 AM
