I agree with this statement. However, I'm not above thinking there isn't some hidden agenda somewhere. Give the American government officials our healthcare and paygrade and see how quickly things change around here. Let them live a few months doing what I do (which is not DIFFICULT but it is blue collar work, getting paid juuuuuuuust above minimum wage and still below the poverty line) for the money that I get paid and let them try to live off of that. Then make them think that they'll never get back to where they were before. They'll never again go to a five-star restaurant, or live in anything better than a two-bedroom apartment with crappy maintanence, no washers and dryers, washing their clothes in the sink. Let all of them who never had to work a damn day in their lives do that, who grew up rich and never having to work through public school and having their arts program cut for budget reasons. something the people they govern have to go through. I want someone in office that came from where I am. My only fear is that they'd be torn apart. Unfortunately if they weren't torn apart they'd just go back with new ideas on how to make the situation less bearable. And of course, no-one who isn't wealthy to begin with successfully gets into politics, and no-one gets anywhere in politics without selling out. The simple fact of the matter is this: With the demise of the monarchies, the whole "divine right of kings" deal, a new method of keeping the majority in line was needed. Money has become that method, and democracy is used solely to make people think they still have an actual say on what happens in their country. Basically it's the real world equivalent of the Matrix. Agreed with Callidus there. Politicians just carry out their orders and we have no say so which is why I never bother to vote because it makes no real difference anyway. Politics = evil, and I want nothing to do with that.

A stupid 90's word meaning you dont do any kind of drugs whatsoever, including coffee and such.
