DE- Thanks so much for your comments! The wandering elf does indeed get around. Fortunately, she has the ability to travel for pretty extensive periods and still magically maintain her prodigious wardrobe. Shes still working with ways to keep her mare safe while she is inside dungeons. SubRosa- Thank you! The only heeled footwear Buffy owns are a couple pair or riding boots. Despite the height boost that heels give the small elf, she generally favors flats. Were quite happy with the subtle and animated (flowing) detect life shader. I also like that she has to pay a little more attention in the wilderness especially when it is bright outside or she can miss approaching foes. KC- Thanks for the kind words. I do like Riverhold for its wonderfully whimsical mix of wood-finished natural caves built into a waterfall-hosting cliff. The pink top that you and SubRosa mentioned is one of too few available from the Apache Goddess Store that comes in Buffys close to the front of the alphabet cup-size. ghastley- Thanks! I have so enjoyed your Falkreath mod. As Ive told you, the one quest seems like you custom made it for Buffy to require her talents as both mystic archer and diagnostician/healer. Grits- Where does time fly! Thank you so much. The voracious elfs game has added another 100 hours since our last update. Buffy and Lothran have been penpals over on BethSoft since Jan 2011 and theyve exchanged scores of letters. Im glad you dont mind that the two elves are now sharing them more openly. They both share a love of magic and adventure. Over time, Buffy has come to quite admire and trust the old Dunmer. Hes seen her in some compromising situations (too much Tamikas), yet has always remained the consummate elven gentlemer. mirocu- Thank you! Yes, shes just a bit shorter than a male Bosmer and it does create some practical challenges like seeing over tall grass and being unable to outrun most foes. Fortunately, her precious mare compensates for that. * * * My Dear Lothran,
Kyne found me just as Superian and I emerged from spending the night inside the small ruin of Sercen at the road junction that leads to Bruma. As we rode north, we were able to bypass several grizzly bears as they foraged just off the road. I did have to preemptively. . . eliminate one ogre, but that was from several hundred feet away. Passing Plundered Mine, I smiled knowingly at the lack of goblins guarding its entrance.
Bruma in the winter is beautiful, but ever so cold! The soldiers on duty at the citys east gate told me that you had recently left, heading north. Based on your letter, Pale Pass is my guess.
Jeanne has a wonderful fire keeping the guild warm and Volanaro is, no doubt, plotting some Saturalia practical joke as I write this while thawing out. I hope you like the surprise I have planned for you upon your return. . . .
Fly north now, Kyne. Find Lothran. Buffy* * * Some screenshots from Buffy's recent travels - Majestic mare. Cooking dinner later that night. Overnighting in Bravil as Buffy escorts Sir Mazoga and her squire from the White Stallion Lodge to Cloud Ruler Temple. Stopping in at Bruma to look for Lothran. And some dungeon crawling, of course - Clearing an Ayleid ruin with another Lamp Knight. Dressed for underground wet work. That resist frost toe ring gifted to Buffy from Jerric really helps here! Now, what kind of bow do you suppose shoots arrows like that?

Majestic Mare is a wonderful beauty shot of Superian. She looks kind of reddish thanks to the detect life going. Dinner sounds good. Superian is naked! Is Sir Mazoga's horse named Snowflake? Given its color... I like the leaves on her bow in the Bruma shot. Those guys look a lot friendlier to wood elves than those guards in Anvil, who would sooner sleep with a horse... Some neat looking outfits in the Ayleid Ruin. Those Lampreys sure know how to dress! I hope that is a good frost resistance effect, cause it looks cold in the ship cavern! I would rather not see the bow that shoots arrows like that!

Thanks for the kind reminder that you posted these! Buffy looks so small on her mare, I doubt her weight makes any difference to the horse. Now Buffys wardrobe, I sure the horse can feel that when its added. Your Nirnroots are glow free! I enjoyed their shine and song. Sir Mazoga looks knightly in her Champion armor! Buffy has a friend with her! Love her outfit, Im sure Buffy helped pick it. That shield though looks like it would be ineffective! Buffy wears more than Aravi does when it comes to wet work!

Christmas potpourri with a big cup of spiced tea! Majestic mare, indeed! I love how the detect life glow makes Superians coat look a bit like the moon. I think of Buffy as setting up a movable home more than a campsite, since she looks so comfortable there. On a clear night Jerric often thinks of his friends perhaps far away but under the same moons. Oh, and doesnt Superian look lovely in the moonlight! That horse is a worthy mount for Sir Mazoga. I can imagine Fanador trotting along the whole way. Yay for road trips! Buffy is sporting forest green and winter white in Bruma! That outfit is one of my (many) favorites on her. How fun to see the Lamp Knights! I can imagine Buffys Dunmer friend catching a blade in that shield and twisting it out of a rogue battlemages grip. I love her armor! She looks like shes quick. Great to see Buffy comfortable in the cold water. Lol, what a funny discovery. Thats a fabulous dungeoneering outfit! We have really enjoyed Decembers screenshot. With the fallen minotaur and wisp in the background, I suspect that Buffy had to work for her peaceful flower-picking moment. She is as beautiful and deadly as the nightshade!

Great to see Buffy again in action.More wonderful letters from Buffy to her dearest friend. The majestic mare is indeed majestic and he looks magnificent at night. The cooking is making me hungry, hehe. Perhaps she could share a campfire with Aravi in the future?
Buffy, Mazoga and the squire that has a golden Hershey kiss for hair. Who is he a fan of, I wonder. I love it!
I like her green outfit in Bruma. It suits her so well even in a place of white.
Who is Buffy if not a professional spelunker? Must I say these two elven ladies look absolutely beautiful and good-looking in their armor. Wow. Ready for battle, but doing so with style.
I suppose it did work. Hehe. She looks quite nice, and comfortable. She can sneak up on anyone without shoes on. Wet is fun.
Hammerfellian Sword-throwing bows? No?

mirocu- Thank you! As you see, Buffy did briefly get to Bruma. And thanks so much for the kind new year wishes! SubRosa- Thanks! Superians tack is heavily enchanted for protection from fire and ice, has a thorns aura to reflect damage and is heavily feathered to reduce the mares burden to nearly zero. As such, Buffy only removes it when she knows the mare is safe. Usually we simply pretend to remove the tack, but we actually really do remove it on occasion. Hmm, I havent thought of a name for Sir Mazogas heavy white stallion as long as she doesnt call it Dinner! KC- Thank you! The feather enchantments on Superians saddlebags help with Buffys wardrobe a lot. Nirnroot! The only one Buffy has gathered is the one that is found at the bottom of the Cheydinhal MG well. We love having them growing unpicked this playthrough. I like that Rosethorn shield because it hides so little of its users weapon. But in thinking about your comment, I do suppose it could be somewhat lacking vs the thrusts of an opponents blade. Grits- Thanks as ever for your kind and gracious words. Although Buffy certainly appreciates hot baths and silk sheets, she's happiest sleeping near her mare, with the crackle of a campfire, songs of the crickets and winking stars so she does make a rather cozy camp. Those two outfits (the green & white silks and draped brown/rust/black leather bodysuit are also two of my faves, for their fit, attractiveness and practicality. DE- I got quite the laugh at you pointing out how Fanadors hair looks like a golden Hershey kiss! Thank you for your wonderful support and kind words! * * * Buffy and I certainly hope everyone had a joyous Saturalia, and enjoying the beginnings of a wonderful new year. The Bowgirl continues to be voracious about traveling Tamriel, and is almost as bad about investigating every dungeon as she is to the lure of each waterfall she encounters. Her guild certainly benefits from her adventures. The Mages Guilds cartography department, for example, now produces maps that are unrivaled for their accuracy and detail. And all the guilds retail stores are rather well stocked with rare and dangerous-to-acquire items (like daedra silk and fully filled grand soul gems). Some shots from her recent and varied travels - Hunting conjurors: Your shoes dont match your outfit, sister; but thats not why I killed you.One elf + one command spell + one arrow. Then into the desert: Well eat well tonight. With a belly full of boar and no need to hunt, shes using the magical zoom-in feature of her bow simply to get a better look at the beautiful white antelope.Northern Elsweyr: Letting Superian cool her hooves after the desert. Picking some lunch.Pondering where to go next.Valenwood it is: Even from here, she cant escape the price she paid to help free Kvatch. . . .So she travels deeper into the misty jungle.

Who wears green shoes with a blue robe? Buffy is looking much smarter in her outfit. 1 elf + 1 command spell + 1 arrow = Yikes! That boar has some teeth! I prefer the antelope. Another waterfall! It looks like things have gone pear-shaped for Buffy! Buffy looks really nice in pondering. Maybe Buffy ought to rebuild Kvatch? The jungles of Valenwood look wonderfully lush.

Oh dear, I suppose its difficult to match your shoes to your robe when living in a conjuror dungeon. Another good reason to stay on the good side of the Guild! Thats an impressive corpse pile! It must have been great fun to watch that battle unfold. I just adore Buffys hair in that style. The desert looks beautiful at night. I am amazed at the detail someone put inside the mouth of that boar! Very nice, and Im sure it was tasty. I love the antelope. Yay, waterfall! Thats a lovely shot. How fun to pick lunch from the saddle! (Is there a sandwich tree nearby? ) Pondering is my favorite. Buffys completely charming without the need of any spell. The Kvatch view really tugs the heart. Her life would be completely different, if. A wise choice to turn to the misty jungle. Thats a gorgeous picture! I love how small Superian looks under those trees. I love these picture updates from Buffys travels. Its like getting postcards.

QUOTE But in thinking about your comment, I do suppose it could be somewhat lacking vs the thrusts of an opponents blade. Or arrows! Hunting: Whats the cool glowing crystal in Buffys hand? Its marvelous! Buffy knows how to make an enormous mess with such little effort. Eating well: What is that? Oh, a boar. I couldnt tell with the way it was laying. I like the antelope. Cooling: Im surprised there isnt a naked wood elf there as well! Misty jungle: Thats very impressive! So did you add Valenwood to your game?

SubRosa- Thank you! Kvatch is fully built, thriving and looks pretty good from the outside up close. Unfortunately, the long distance look is still that of a burned out city. mirocu- Thanks for popping in! Your question about Buffys fave dungeon type is the inspiration for our little update below. Grits- Thanks for your endorsement of that newer (for Buffy) hairstyle. As long as the length and color are the same, I dont mind if she changes among styles as often as she likes. That style brings her up to four approved ones she can choose among now. Thank you also very much for enjoying the postcards from her journey of What I want to do when I grow up. KC- We found a couple other very neat shields for Buffys pals that look more effective. That little crystal torch is pretty indeed. It has a soft glow, emits sparkles and slowly rotates as you hold it. It seems (to me) clearly of Ayleid origin and just the trick for a mage. We havent installed the Valenwood mod due to a couple technical concerns. That misty jungle shot was actually taken in Dementia. * * * Buffy quite enjoys all dungeons, and focuses more on the prey inhabitants than the architecture quite preferring man/mer/betmer as foes. That said, she has to answer that Aylied ruins are her fave structures. This is based primarily on the high ceilings and vertical advantages they provide to an agile elf and her mare as shown below. (If the first two shots come up small, closing and reopening the link should bring them up big.) First of all, Superian quite welcomes the headroom when the weather drives them inside.Secondly, there are plenty of high perches to hide and shoot from for elves who are patient. And lastly, the unique internal architecture quite suits an elf whose mastery of restoration allows her to magically boost the skills necessary to do this.

Are you using Kvatch Rebuilt then? I never tried it. I am guessing it does not have a new LOD texture for the long distance viewing. I am surprised, I would have thought they would have made something like that. Buffy is riding her horse inside a ruin! That is amazing. And the Ayleid ruins are indeed perfect for those high Norman ceilings. Buffy made quite a leap to get up there. I am guessing there is some Fortify Acrobaticing involved. She looks like Spider-Man in that last pic. Or Spider Creed, or Assassin's Man, erm, something...

Thanks, Buffy, we had a wonderful Saturalia! Hunting Conjurers: Buffy, ever the stylist, is quick to notice when something is profoundly wrong with someone's outfit. Heh, with those blue robes and those ridiculously green shoes that doesn't match the rest, I would've noticed too. I knew Buffy was dangerous, but what she did right there with the bodies is just lethal. That equation= No survivors but Buffy Into The Desert: Even in the desert there is nothing that can hide from our talented, beautiful mythical archer. Indeed a much different setting from Cyrodiil but the hunting principles stay the same: stick em with an arrow. White antelope hunting? Did Hircine set her up for this? Elsweyr: For just a quick instant I actually thought Buffy was wearing a turban, then I realized it was actually her hair. What a sight. I think she might want to cool off, too, no? But her trusty mount needs all the relaxation he can get before setting out on a journey again. Pears. Oh yum! Just chilling. Ah, I feel the comfort! Valenwood: Nice view of the town as she prepares to leave. And welcome to the Jungle, we got mist and games, learn to hunt like an animal! QUOTE Buffy quite enjoys all dungeons, and focuses more on the prey inhabitants than the architecture quite preferring man/mer/betmer as foes. Hmm, humanoids always make fine prey, no? Me and Vera too, favors hunting these types of enemies. Buffy has a fantastic taste in game, I say. Subrosa, "Assassin's Spider: Creed of Man!"

Cannot you generate a new LOD for the fixed up Kvatch using TES4LodGen? I used that to make LODs for the game a long time ago, when I started using Qarl's Texture Pack. Our own TK even made this LOD Toggler to help with creating new LODs for Kvatch Rebuilt. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Jan 26 2014, 07:53 PM
