I’m guessing that since I added Lil to the Whiterun Town faction (to keep her out of trouble if she stole something in Dragonsreach) that made her a candidate for Radiant Quests? I didn’t expect that to happen! I suppose that also makes my NPCs potential kidnapping victims. I wonder if adding NPC Jerric to the Companions faction would cause trouble or keep him out of it. I can just see him being ordered to beat himself up in his own game. Or Abiene! Yikes. Here’s a picture of Channah meeting Lil. She does not look too intimidated. (Also Peasant Fashion put her in a really ugly dress!) Channah is very lucky that she didn’t have to brawl with Aravi. She would never be able to beat her! She did get an assignment to rescue Heimskr from some bandits. I was hoping he’d get killed in the process, but it didn’t turn out that way.

QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Jan 19 2014, 08:46 AM) QUOTE(Vital @ Jan 18 2014, 04:38 PM) I always bring snowberries or potions of resist frost to keep warm when I'm heading north. I once had a battlemage who used a flame cloak spell for the same purpose though Ha! Interesting. I once had a character who did not use light spells, and if her torch died she would strategically cast the default healing spell (this is Oblivion now, not Skyirm) because this spell casts a bit of light for a second or two. She would cast this spell, try to figure out where to go next, etc. I've used non-light spells for light before too, that default healing one in oblivion is quite useful for that purpose... Don't know what my current character would do if he's stuck in the dark and his torch dyes, no magic for him! At least being khajiit he has a night-eye power.

I've been playing a bit of skyrim recently but haven't been posting my activity. Here's a little recap: Ravos has been searching for aetherium shards and doing some general dungeon diving and misc objectives. He has also been on a few hunting trips around Falkreath, even venturing into the Rift, which he is much less familiar with. Also, Ravos has done some work on Lakeview Manor. He's nearly finished his library and the main hall is now fully furnished, soon he'll have somewhere to store all his books. I'm thinking he'll get back onto the main quest after the aetherium quest is done, but we'll see. Recently I was looking through my old saves and found that I still had one for Mavrys, a dunmer mercenary. He had died a long time ago in a dungeon at level 15, but I had an old save of him at level 3, just having reached Whiterun. He was one of my most interesting characters, regarding backstory and personality, and I'd had some great ideas for him in-game that never came about. So I fired his game up and made a bit of progress. He, and his buddy Faendal, (for some reason he always had Faendal with him) have established themselves as mercenaries for hire in Whiterun. They've completed a few jobs for the townsfolk, and collected some bounties for the Jarl. They plan to stay in Whiterun for quite a while, and as such a room at the Bannered Mare is not very cost effective. Luckily they found themselves a place to stay. A bit of meta-gaming helped them discover Uthgerd's house could be rented if she was beaten in a brawl. Mavrys bashed her up a bit, took the key and left her a deposit of 50 septims. Their weekly rent will be 20 septims. They didn't take long to make themselves comfortable; Mavrys has his desk, where he can sort bounties and other contracts, and Faendal has his area , to store his stuff. I won't be playing Mavry's game much right now, Do'Shakir and Ravos have most of my time. He'll just be there to freshen things up. However once Ravos has completed the MQ his story will be done for a while, until he has to come out of retirement to venture to Solstheim, and that's when I will focus more on Mavrys. He's possibly my favorite character I created for Skyrim, and I have a lot in store for him This post has been edited by Vital: Feb 1 2014, 06:13 AM

Wow, how many characters do you have in Skyrim? Sounds like a few. .. Mavrys looks like a bad-ass! Wow, I had no idea we could rent Uthred's house like that.. Master Baytor is currently in Dragonsreach, where I am RPing he stays when he's not adventuring. He and Lydia just got back from Solitude, where MB joined the Imperials and did a lot of assorted adventuring. He's trying to save money to buy the house in Whiterun, something none of my others have ever done. He's got a lot ahead of him in the next few days: he and Lydia are to visit Valtheim Bridge to see what's going on with some bandits who have been harassing the locals. Then he is to go to a barrow called Korvanjund to aid the Imperials retrieve an item before the Stormcloaks get there. And finally, he is supposed to go to High Hrothgar to meet up with the Greybeards. Baytor has been working on his Enchanting, One-handed, Destruction, Alteration, and Conjuration skills most of all. I am looking forward to the next few days in his life. OH, and there's hardly any dragons in his game. I feared the Main Quest would pack a dragon-an-hour or something, but so far he's seen a total of three random non-quest dragons, and one of these merely flew very high overhead and never attacked Baytor and Lydia.

By the time you get to Ravos' stage in the MQ (over 2/3 of the way in) the dragon attacks get very frequent. It builds up over time. The other thing is being a ranger, Ravos spends lots of time off the road, where attacks seem to be more frequent. It's a bit inconsistent though, some days you'll see 3, sometimes you won't see one for a week. Renee, I have skyrim character attention issues Currently I have Ravos as active, Mavrys as sort-of active, and three characters as dormant/retired plus multiple dead or started but never really played characters...

Ugh. Dang. Well maybe Baytor will work his way around this somehow. I like dragon-fighting to be a rather 'special' experience you see. Don't want it to become an everyday thing. That would get old quick, imo. You sound like glargg, this gamer over at Beth's forums. I made a 'how many characters' thread awhile back, and I believe he couldn't pinpoint an exact number, he guesstimated 200 or so.

Master Baytor is working his way slowly towards Solitude, to bring a VII (very important item) to General Tullius. As he travels the countryside, he's been looting & plundering, and hopes that by the time he returns to Whiterun he'll have enough to buy the house that's for sale there. He still travels with Lydia. Since he's a spellsword and mostly relies on magic, it's good having a warrior type to balance out their fighting styles. He just left Dawnstar, a village he's vowing never to return to EVER.
