QUOTE(mirocu @ Feb 5 2014, 07:30 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Feb 5 2014, 07:57 PM) Red Dead Redemption. Thus far it's bouncong back and forth between great and [censored]. There are some fantastic elements of it, but then I run into things like poker. Where there's not even the remotest hint of conisitency or common sense. They'll check their way through hands while holding a full house, then go all in on a pair of 6s. Then there's the horse riding, which is unnecessarily cumbersome. Riding from one place to another is fine, it works well and everything looks good. Trying for any degree of precision, and it all goes straight to hell. Sounds very inconsistent How´s the shooting? Seems okay so far, though I'm still using te freebie weapons from the start. Did have one guy take four shots at range and still not die, and all I could see of him was his upper body, so that was really annoying.

RDR is one of the few games I completed and I loved it.

Playing the original Knights of the Old Republic. Still love this game.

Tried the Zapper game GOTCHA! and the early arcade game Rampage, both American games I can now play They were fun and I´ll probably give them another go sometime. I also played the baby blue cartridge Bible Adventures which had three games in it but I´m not so sure I´ll want to play that again...

QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Feb 12 2014, 11:30 PM) Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
I started playing like an hour ago. Ten minutes in, I got 'chieves for killing 100 enemies.
HOLY GOD-EMPEROR THE GAME IS AMAZING! Meaty, heavy melee and strangely satisfying heavy, clunky shooting. Only appropriate, as you're firing MASS REACTIVE SHELLS THAT EXPLODE INSIDE ORKS!
Go buy this. It's cheap, and I hear the multiplayer is good too.
Meh, when it comes to Warhammer 40K games, I prefer strategy to shooter. Being a space marine seems like it would make for a bit of a boring game. Gentically engineered superhuman with the best weapons and armour available? I'll pass. Dawn of War, on the other hand, is a fantastic game, and cheap to get these days.

QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Feb 13 2014, 11:17 PM) You're up against millions of Orks, it's really quite hard. They have rokkits that instakill you and stuff. Considering what they could have done with the 40K universe, a third person shooter playing as an Ultramarine fighting Orcs is pretty much lazy. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Feb 13 2014, 11:22 PM) Just finished the main quest of Fable 2.
Oh god. Ohhh god. And I know the third one even worse.
Ugh, I comleted Fable 2 once. Never again. I loved Fable, but 2 put me off the series and I wouldn't touch 3 with a ten foot bargepole. That said, there were a few things about Fable 2 I liked, but nowhere near enough to make up for that story. Starting by surviving a fall that should have killed you for no reason than being descended from a hero is pathetic. And yet it somehow manages to go downhill from there. I'm looking forward to Fable Anniversary though

Fable 2 is alright but the third one was terrible. They went too "progressive" with it and by trying to eliminate menus, they made every single action in the game annoying and tedious.
The story was also terrible and advanced randomly, leaving you trying to figure out what to do in order to get a decent ending. Couple all of that with the obvious black and white moral options (slave labor children or take a financial hit) and what you've got is a generic button mashing excuse for an RPG with terrible controls and a clunky replacement to a menu system that makes the game difficult to enjoy even as a way to kill time.

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Feb 14 2014, 03:56 AM) I'm an achievement whore as well. I wanted all expressions, demon doors, powers, etc unlocked lol
I couldn't even force myself for the achievements. I envy your dedication.
