Post #1,001. High five! ====------===========-----------------==============-------------------
Turdas, 11:20 PM, 30th of Rain's Hand
Mycharonna the Ice Witch is virtually trapped. Trapped in the Ratway! She managed to sell the Jeweled Amulet to a sort of 'merchant' down here (DB stuff), so that went well. The problem is she hadn't been keeping track of time over the past few days. She hasn't fed in awhile apparently.
Just after her transaction was completed, she slipped from one stage of vampirism to the next. And realized she had now become a full-fledged vampiress. Stage four. Dawnguard is disabled for her game, so when she becomes Stage 4 her vampiric powers become so immense, most ordinary people will notice it, hate her, and try to attack her!
As soon as she left the Ratway and re-entered Riften, she could hear the cries of those from up above.
"Oh no! A vampire!" "Attack her!" "I'll slit yer belly like an old woman's purse."
Dozens of people up above. Even with all the magic she could muster, there'd be no way she could manage to escape. But she's come up with a plan*.
She did manage to escape Riften, summoning an ice atronach as the outdoor guards readied their attack. As the guards started fighting this giant, Mycharonna ran away at vampiric speed, leaving the guards wondering if they had actually seen her at all.

QUOTE(Vital @ Feb 21 2014, 06:00 PM) Couldn't she have fed on some of the people who live down there?
Not with Dawnguard disabled. Victim has to be sleeping to do this, everybody was awake down in the Ratway and its connecting passages. I specifically disable DG for her game because I like how NPCs start freaking out once she gets to Stage 4, you see. Much more dramatic; it also gives Mycharonna a certain vulnerability seen in vampire lore, since sunlight affecting vamps has been dumbed-down from Oblivion to Skyrim. QUOTE None of my characters have even been vampires yet in Skyrim, I have an altmer vampire lord just outside Helgen but as with so many characters he's waiting to be played. Ravos has become my favorite character and right now I don't see any reason I would stop playing him...
Vamps are fun! I've had two in Oblivion as well as the one in Skyrim, the RP is different in each game. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Feb 22 2014, 10:20 AM

QUOTE(Vital @ Feb 22 2014, 04:48 AM) Oh ok, I thought someone might be sleeping. Can you disable dlc on console, or do you have to uninstall it? Or is this on PC?
Her game is on Xbox and I don't actually disable it; I delete it. I just say 'disable' because it's easier. When I switch to some other character who's got Dawnguard active, now I hook the Xbox up to the internet and re-install it for his or her game. On PC, it's more likely we can disable DG at any time, but I'm not entirely sure. QUOTE I've had vamps in oblivion, but somehow never managed in skyrim. I've barely touched dawnguard yet besides getting it not long after release. Ravos nearly went down that line, mainly to get the bow and crossbows, but I think another character give it a go first...
Yes! Totally agree. I also had a character who started DG, but he just wasn't the right guy for the job. I then stared DG from scratch with a holy knight type of character, and that's who Lord Haaf-Mersey wound up being. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Feb 22 2014, 11:34 PM

QUOTE(Vital @ Feb 22 2014, 05:40 PM) My Valkyrie character will go down that line, then Ravos will. At some stage I'll make a character to go down the volkihar route. The problem is I have so many ideas for characters and so little time!
Interesting, so Ravos is like your "go to" when you know you're going to get your gaming on good, huh? I guess I am lucky in that respect, I don't get too slammed with too many ideas at one time. usually with me an idea builds and coalesces over days , weeks and/or months. It forms like a snowball, getting larger as more snow is gathered up as it rolls down a virtual hill. Eventually this idea will have a name, a rough idea for backstory, 'class', race, sex, and a few other tidbits. Mycharonna wants me to shush. I'm feeling her impatience. QUOTE You cannot take me! You cannot take me! I am ephereal I am great! Cover thy spine, your opinions of naught shalt burn with reckonings And I am free to roam, outside thy petty mortal thoughts
Loredas, 9:16 PM, 2nd of Second SeedMycharonna the Ice Witch waits silently, yet not so patiently, on the outskirts of Shor's Stone. It's been many days since she's fed, and she's getting desperate. She's been feeding on mostly raw meat for nearly a week now. The time has come. The hamlet of Shor's Stone has just one guard in its employ, and this guard paces the length of the tiny hamlet over and over. Back and forth. All night. Mycharonna waits in shadows, hoping she'll be able to slip into a nearby cabin so she can finally feed. She knows that by statistic, the longer she waits the more likely any occupants of the cabin will be asleep. Then she'll make her move upon this hapless soul. 11:12 PMAfter observing the guard for an hour or two, she casts a spell to muffle the sounds of her feet. She then paces forward as the guard turns on his heels to patrol in the direction away from her. A chicken scurries across the road. Mycharonna also crosses this road swiftly, raising no suspicion from the guard. The chicken on the other hand senses something awry, as a flashy black shape flashes within its peripheral vision. She crouches behind the cabin, and waits once more. After some time, the guard walks the road before her once again; he walks not 10 paces from her this time! ... Yet he does not see or sense the miscreation standing nearby. The Ice Witch manages to sneak round a corner of the cabin, feels the cabin's door, and turns into a vaporish phantom before slipping through unnoticed. Sundas, 1:27 AMTwo cots of straw and pine stand inside the cramped, messy domicile she now finds herself in. She feels a momentary disappointment that the first cot is empty. She gazes towards the second cot, and at first doesn't see the figure sleeping there. But this moment soon passes. The bed contains an orc. A strong and hardy, manly sort of orc. Though she would prefer her blood to come from somebody weaker and fey, she can't be too particular tonight. She bends down, and as she takes in the orc's blood, she can feel the planes of multidimensionality rushing around and through, favoring her with their many realities. After doing some MQ stuff up on the throat of the world, Ravos set out from Ivarstead to Darkwater Crossing. He was patrolling the area between Darkwater Crossing and Riften for a few days and he then headed into Riften itself. In Riften he decided to purchase honeyside (he'd already done the quests to make it available) and then just lay around for a bit. He likes Riften and could see himself living there, it's got a good climate (for skyrim) and there's always lots to do for someone in his line of work.
It's the middle of Evening Star and Saturalia is fast approaching. Ravos aims to be at Lakeview by the 23rd, just in time to celebrate with Jenassa and Faendal and Faendal's family (Rayya, Lucia and Alesan). He's been making sure he has plenty of gifts for all of them. A pair of hand-smithed swords for Jenassa, a new bow for Faendal, a shield for Rayya and two daggers as well as some clothes and toys for the kids.
He's back at his patrolling now, clearing Faldar's Tooth and protecting Heartwood mill from a dragon, bears and three vampires. He's now resting at the mill, a few more days of adventure ahead of him before he heads to Lakeview for Saturalia and the Old Life Festival.

QUOTE Infestuous mockeries of sodden wealth Scream and scram from Twilight's shelf Thy fate now dooms immaculate Treasures chosen and delicate
To weary eyes And bedland lies, Nocturnal screams Mephala cries
Gaine me thine powers of the night! Thrust me thine whims, sorrows, and plight!
~Mycharonna ~Loredas, 3:36 AM, 9th of Second Seed, 4E 202Ahem. Mycharonna the Ice Witch is on her way to the Sanctuary to return to Astrid and Cicero. On the way, she decided she might want to stop in Falkreath to possibly feed, unfortunately she had some sort of bounty there. She allowed herself to be arrested for some reason. Hopefully she won't hit Stage 4 vampirism before her sentence is over. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Mar 2 2014, 01:12 AM

QUOTE(Lopov @ Mar 2 2014, 04:06 AM) A creepy pic and a creepy song - but I really like them both.
Thanks! This is quite an honor. I like how the poem's actual shape is like a flower vase or a curvy woman's body shape. I didn't write that poem, Mycharonna did. She wound up returning to the Sanctuary last night and spoke to Astrid. Then she did her usual semi-creepy Sanctuary activities-- watching Babette (the child vampire) sleep, and also listening to Cicero's ramblings for hours on end.

Mycharonna is super creepy, even when compared with her fellow db members... in the last few days Ravos has been doing a lot of rp-heavy, action-lacking, stuff and to be honest it hasn't been exciting. So, inspired to create a new character after starting one in oblivion, I decided it was time for a fresh skyrim start. After numerous hours deliberating over every little detail of my new character, I finally decided to bring back possibly my favorite oblivion character: Attia. An imperial legion scout, once stationed in Cyrodiil and discharged after a 'run-in' with a senior officer, the new Attia found herself stationed in Helgen before having another 'run-in' with a senior officer, this time involving two civilians . Hadvar helped her escape Helgen and flee to Riverwood. Sooner-or-later she plans on traveling to Solitude to rejoin the legion, she thinks she earned her pardon when she cut down 6 stormcloaks during her escape from Helgen. She's been hunting some bandits in Whiterun hold and now she's headed back to Riverwood to retrieve some Nordic relic. It's unlikely she'll be dovahkiin, but I understand this quest must be done for the civil-war questline to advance (I've never touched it before) and besides, it's a fun dungeon. I've always known Attia to be a grumpy girl, but so far in skyrim she's been particularly miserable. She's a full-on tomboy, wearing her hair short, although that may be due to legion regulations. I think she misses her headband from oblivion, but she'll cope. Also, so far she hasn't found a follower she could bare to be around for more than five-seconds, which has meant she's leveled quickly. All in all, she's been good fun

Welcome Atilla, erm, Attia! QUOTE(Vital @ Mar 3 2014, 07:00 AM) She's been hunting some bandits in Whiterun hold and now she's headed back to Riverwood to retrieve some Nordic relic. You have to follow the main quest as far as slaying the dragon for Jarl Ballin'. Otherwise you can only do the first two quests in the civil war (the initiation and Korvanjund). After that you have to try to recruit Jarl Ballin', and he won't have any part of it unless you have killed his dragon first. Both sides are polite enough to refuse to fight one another until Jarl B has his dragon, so you have to help him if you want a Civil War. So that means you have to find the dragonstone for Faren-shlurring-hish-wordsh, and then go kill de dwagon once you get back. To think all that bloodshed of the war could be avoided too, if you just show the dragon some mercy... It is sort of like how Dagon will never invade Cyrodiil if you just refuse to deliver the amulet of kings in Oblivion... This post has been edited by SubRosa: Mar 3 2014, 03:37 PM
