Still going with the NCIS/NCIS:LA/Hawaii Five-0/Castle lot...And, when we can, we're still trundling through Magnum... You were so right Subrosa, Series 6 is soooo much better than 5...I'm really enjoying it...We just had the one where a young lady comes to Hawaii to track down a chauffeur that had taken her son, and he later tried to sell the boy via that bad lawyer lady... EDIT...We also saw the 300 sequel the other day...Not the best film I've ever seen, but not the worst either...McWife enjoyed it more than I did anyways...But then again, I was more impressed by the Spartacus series than she was...*Shrug*...Which this seemed to be slightly sub-par to, when compared with etc...But was still decent enough...Y'know?... In short...I would sooner watch two episodes of Spartacus back to back than 300/2 again... ... This post has been edited by McBadgere: Mar 18 2014, 02:05 PM

I started watching Miami Vice yesterday, and Wolverine and the X-Men. I found both were fun. I have not seen Miami Vice in ages, and the thing that really stood out to me when watching it was the music. Not just that they used real songs by real artists like Phil Collins, The Rolling Stones, etc..., but also in the way it is implemented. The music is used as another way of storytelling, taking the place of dialogue or action in the frame. I mentioned this a while back when I said there was a Magnum PI episode that was clearly influenced by Miami Vice. When comparing Magnum and Miami, shows which were on the air at the same time, it really is startling.
Wolverine and the X-Men has also been turning out to be rather good too, at least so far (only one disc into the 6 disc series). The voice acting is decent, the animation ok, and the story is shaping up to be good. It is a riff off of the Day of Futures Past, which by now is getting a little old. But it still packs a good emotional wallop, as the struggle against bigotry which surrounds it is really the foundation of the X-Men franchise.
And I am still getting through at least one episode of The Great Queen Seondeok every day. It has really picked up now that a certain major character has died. The indecision and flatness that I saw in Deokman is now gone, replaced by a chilling resolve to see things through to the bitter end, and take Silla for her own. What I really like (and suspected would happen), is that she is putting the lessons she learned from her enemy Mishil to good use in her own path to power. Mishil herself has finally made a fatal mistake, that of believing her own PR, and thinking she is invincible. I can see that this will be her undoing.

QUOTE(McBadgere @ Mar 22 2014, 12:14 PM) Still watching Agents of SHIELD...
Have kinda lost the love for it, unfortunately...Not giving much hope of a second series either...*Shrug*...
I know what you mean. I've been following the show, but after the lengthy break and the return with needlessly overblown scenes, I'm starting to tire of it. Finding out about Coulson was interesting, but beyond that... I dunno... *shrug* Anyway, now onto season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. Still awesome This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Mar 22 2014, 07:41 PM

Just watched the Madame de Pompadour Docky Who... Managed to get going again, but just the one a week...So as not to get stuck...If I think, every Wednesday, get up, put the next episode on...It's more likely to get watched... I mean as it stands right now, it's practically two years of Wednesdays, and by then Capaldi will have his own boxed-set to go through, right?...It's fine...I got this... ...
