Nice! I love orcs.

I'm building an orc tribe for Glugrog made up of NPCs of my deceased and retired orc characters. They're on a journey to all of the strongholds. Right now they're outside of Riften. Orcs are awesome. smile.gif

I'm roleplaying that she's the Orc at Winterhold's daughter and, in spite of her father's love for history and desire to preserve it, she tired of Winterhold and left to find her own place in history.

Ushak gra-shub is my new character. She's sort of no-nonsense. She found a Nord woman walking the road, who said something nasty to her. Immediately, she turns around and goes "Excuse me?"

She's now wearing the woman's armor and weapon. She looks good in heavy armor.

Go Green!

Orcs can be such fun to play!

She is uncannily good at finding treasure troves. She went to Pinewatch and raided their keep, now she accidentally found the shards of Mehrune's Razor.

Oops. She doesn't do well with Daedra, so she left that alone.

EDIT: Isn't she the most beautiful thing??

Eilidh's still in Fulgunthur.
It's warm and actually proving to be quite lucrative as it goes. The pond life won't be going anywhere anytime soon anyway, too busy waiting for his, now late, sister.

Besides, she found a couple of interesting journals lying about. It's been a while since she's visited Fulgunthur and on previous excursions the tomb complex guarded its secrets. Now however it looks like someone found a way in, although they appear to have died in the process.

She's never really been into treasure hunting for the sake of it, but this might provide a diversion whilst her stuff dries off and she gets ready to pay that two-timing lizard a little visit...

(Also, next installment of the fanfic up soon, if anyone's interested).

Ushak was heading towards Riften and stopped in the middle of a storm at a tomb for shelter. She was met with a startled yell, which caused her to draw her mace. The man quickly explained that she merely startled him, and that was his ancestral tomb. She helped him clear it of a necromancer and his minions, as long as she got to take whatever loot she wanted. He relented, and once they reached the necromancer, the man tried talking to the necromancer, but Ushak just gave him a faceful of mace.

She doesn't play around lol

Ushak spent a few days walking to Riften. When she got there, everyone gave her strange looks and kept asking if she felt alright.

She felt fine, just exhausted.

She was approached by Brynjolf, who claimed she had never done an honest days work in her life. She ignored him, and he seemed a bit surprised, but left her alone. She met Mjoll and a few traders and offered to get them the gems they needed in exchange for gold. Riften makes her feel charitable, especially after seeing how riddled with thieves it is. She was also angry at the obvious shkledown at the North gate, after being refused at two entrances.

Ushak was a lot kinder to Brynjolf than Persephone was during her first visit to Riften!

You can if you set him to be non essential.

Perspehone killed Dirge Maul, Brynjolf, and Sapphire within minutes of her first visit to Riften. Another one of my characters (I forget who now), killed almost all of the Fighters Guild.

Oh no, I think it was Maul. It was the one at the front gate, who always does the force greet when you enter the city the first time. Persephone tried to ignore the loudmouthed mutt. But then he said something to the effect of "Yeah, you'd better walk away."

That was all an undead killing machine like Persephone needed to set her off. She turned around and killed him. Then Sapphire ran over and attacked her, so Persephone killed her too. Then Brynjolf came in, and well, you can see how he ended up. After it was all over a guard came to arrest Persephone. The bounty was 40 gold! laugh.gif Shows what the Riften guards think of the Thieves Guild!

Mycharonna the Ice Witch

Turdas, 5:49 PM, 30th of Second Seed, 4th Era 202

Level: 41
Gameplay: 178 hours, 45 minutes, 42 seconds
Days Passed: 284
Gold Found: 67,994

"Hm hm hmmmm hm hm hmmmm hm hm hm hm hm hm hmmm"

The gentle, tuneless hum of a child.

"Feel free to make requests! "Our hero our hero claims a Warrior's heart. ... I tell you I tell you the Dragonborn comes ... with an end to the evil of all Skyrim's foes ... bewaaare bewaaare the Dragonborn comes....."

The lilting cry of a bard.

"Are you all right? You seem tired."
"I'm fine, Horik. I just... are you worried about this war?"
"No. If we must fight, we will, and you will lead us to victory. As you always have."
"With you by my side, is that right Horik?"
"Of course. I would have it no other way."

A pleasant conversation between two locals.

"Cough! ... Yawn........"

Drinks and food are served here at the Winking Skeever to soldiers, fisherman, laborers, and children. And below this mellow, placid scene, just one storey beneath the feet of these aimless patrons, a shape slowly forms. Crystalizes, and then hardens. From vapor to flesh a figure emerges, seemingly from the stone wall itself.

As she regains her Nirnly being, Mycharonna the Ice Witch claims her sodden resolve. She feels the air of the cellar around her, which is that perfect combination of warmth and humidity she prefers. And the sound of their feet as they walk on the stone floor above comforts her.

IPB Image

"It's been a good week, my boy!" says the owner of the Winking Skeever from above. "Loud customers mean good cheer, and good cheer means a full till! You know, I ought to retire and leave you to run the Skeever, son!"

"I don't know, father... There's a whole world out there I want to see. You'd just spend your time here, bossing me around and yelling for more drinks. You're practically retired already..."

"I could run the Skeever!" says another child, this one a girl. "You even said I'm almost as smart as you! Why not let me run the Skeever? I already know lots about it!"

"Hah! A girl running a bar? Don't be ridiculous, Minette!"

"What about 'Auntie Faida' in Dragon Bridge? She runs a bar, and you said she's one of your favorite girls!"

"Oh, brother..." says the 'son'.

"That's it!" announces the owner. "I'm not retiring, ever! End of discussion!"

Little do they know
, she thinks. That one of them could be next.

Not long ago, this sort of thought would intrigue and amaze her, as being a vampire was not something she had planned on when she first arrived in Skyrim months ago. But now, she merely thinks this casually. Already I have feasted upon two of your flock. And little do you know the 'terror' has not fled. As a fact of matter, she shall indeed surprise the gentry of this town known as Solitude. Very soon.

The vampire shifts entirely from the plane she had previously been dwelling in, to Nirn. And the world of Skyrim would never be the same again.

6:03 PM

"True, I may look the part of dashing swordsman," says a Redguard patron of the Winking Skeever as a well-dressed, lightly perfumed, middle-aged, grey-haired lady passes by. "but I prefer the art of wit to that of warfare."

The grey-haired socialite says nothing, she merely inspects the man (a dark-skinned man) before her. This one's blood would flourish me strongly she thinks. Contrarily, he may dwelleth within the Bard's College, and to sate myself would bring much risk....

"The typical Skyrim wench is like the city of Solitude itself," the Redguard tries. "Stone exterior, but ahh, the charms within," he finishes in a feeble attempt to flatter her.

The grey-haired, midlde-aged socialite lady departs from The Winking Skeever without a reply.

5:58 PM

"Honored guests, I thank you all for being here. I thank you for sharing this wonderfully happy day with myself.. and my new husband."

Vittoria Vici addresses the small crowd before her as the sky above turns to darkens. Seems quite ironic that the wedding commences at such an hour Mycharonna thinks. The hour of darkness. Seems almost fated.

"In this courtyard, there are no Stormcloaks. There are no Imperials. Today the problems of Skyrim are not our problems, nor are they yours. Today we have joined together in peace. So please, enjoy yourselves."

Mycharonna meanders by the alchemy shop, up some stairs, and follows the voice she hears, while also using an otherworldy sense* to guide her. After some minutes, finally she locates the soiree.

IPB Image

"Good people of Solitude. ... Are you all entjoying yourselves?" the bride calls out. "Please .. eat, drink, and be merry on this happiest of days."

The Ice Witch notices the bride and groom are seated on one end of this rather dark courtyard, while a smattering of guests sit before the pair. The affair is somber, which pleases Mycharonna in some way. One bard sings, while another plays a flute on the far end of this courtyard. As Mycharonna approaches, Vittoria and Asgeir leave their seats, exit the courtyard, and because of this the Witch momentarily doesn't know what to do. The killing must be public and messy Astrid had said. As the Witch circles the courtyard slowly, smiling as best she can in an attempt to pretend to be human, the guests of honor now return to the courtyard, while the Witch readies a spell, and removes a small, dark-green blade from her belt. The dark-green blade is then quickly poisoned.

IPB Image

As drinks are raised in celebration a whoosh of air is felt by several guests, and suddenly Asegir Snow-Shod, Nordic groom of the wedding itself, attacks his Imperial bride.

"Hey, I saw that!" ... "What are you doing?" ... "You can't get away with this!" .. "Those fools are actually fighting!"

The guests suddenly erupt in confusion, raising from their seats, while the Witch swallows a potion which temporarily erases the sight of her. As blades and fists are drawn, only one guest manages to notice where the Witch who had thrown the magic had been standing. This guest gets one good slice upon the Witch before he can't find her no more.

"Where did you .. where did you go?"

In seconds, most of the wedding is either fleeing or fighting, while the Witch slips to the side, and out of the courtyard. As the confusion commences, she draws her poisoned, dark-green blade, and returns to the crowd. Asegeir ... is dead, yet the wedding guests barely seem to notice, due to a bit of shape-shifting by the Witch. ** They only see that he is injured, and seems baffled by his previous actions. Despite this comfort, the Witch knows she's only got seconds before her invisibility wears off.

She aims her orcish-crafted daggar, which has been laced with deadly poison, and strikes Vittoria Vici dead.

"Ooooooff!"

As the Imperial bride falls to the ground, her soul is captured within a black gem carried by the Witch. Because of this, the Witch can no longer hide. .... In a split second she is chased and swung at several times. Her usual 'too-fast-for the eye' speed is drained somehow, and she struggles to get away. Fully focused upon her Nirnly being, she cannot initially find a place to hide, and seconds begin to feel like hours. She dashes down stone causeways and past many homes as the guards (and some citizens) make attempts to attack her. .. But then there it is.

She finds a stand of thistle bushes, crouches within one of them, and casts a spell which silences her almost entirely.

"Guess it's all clear, now."

After a few moments, Mycharonna ascertains that after her confusing, messy withdrawl, she's now wound up near the entranceway to the Blue Palace.

I must leave this place at once!

Mycharonna the Ice Witch tries to do so, manages to make it past several houses (and the Bard's College) yet is caught once more. "The prublem is yo'r dissreespect for da law. Yoo must pay a fine for da Jarl's justice", says a guard.

But the Ice Witch has none of this. She merely flips her shoulder when the guard shows a writ to collect 40 gold. She can easily afford this fee, but chooses not to. After another minute or so, she finally locates the door she's looking for: a door beneath Solitude's gigantic windmill. She rushes through this, closes it, and crouches down. With her muffling spell still active, the guards quickly determine that the lady who had caused the deaths of both bride and groom is nowhere to be found. They then give up their search a little too quickly.

"No sign of her!"

It helps that Mycharonna manages to subtly persuade the night around her to come to her aid.

That was neat to see Mycharonna materialize in the cellar! ohmy.gif

Ninette decided to go to the College of Winterhold so she asked NPC Jerric to walk her there. It turned out that she would have been all right on her own, but she is frankly terrified of freezing to death and being eaten by wild animals (in any order) so she was much more relaxed behind his shield.

I fixed up Ninette’s dorm room before she got there so that we wouldn’t get stuck in an endless “where is the desk you promised me” loop with Mirabelle. Ninette tends to get fixated on details. So when she got to her room I was excited to finally after all of these hours see a desk in there, and instead of being happy Ninette was thinking And does this battlemage come with the chamber? I already have one. He’s a College Watchman who seems to really like her chair. Later after she explored and put away her stuff she began to wish she had a door. “Guys, a little privacy?”

Ninette is very organized. I had to make some labeled storage for her because the plain barrels were not sufficient. She wants some shelves in her room for books and whatever oddities she’s sure she will collect in her studies. J’zargo did his sneering at the newcomer routine and her response was a cool, “Let us see what happens.” She won’t make a single potion more than she needs, so I think she’ll stay strong enough to survive for a while. She’s too smart to go where her Illusion spells don’t work without backup. That’s a relief.

Tolfdir has sent her class to a nearby ruin. Jerric will happily tag along but to Ninette he seems as old as dirt and just about as interesting. She might send him home thinking that she’ll be safe with her teacher and classmates. I hope she doesn’t!
