SR, you're probably right about the drinks explains why the dunmer are so bitter Today Ravos travelled from Windhelm to Whiterun via the Nightgate inn. Along the way he cleared Uttering Hills Cave and killed a dragon. Quiet journey really...

Genevieve went to Mzinchaleft to get Grimsever back for Mjoll. She's a pure mage, so the magic-resistant dwemer automatons give her real problems. So I taught her to hulk out, and she still died. After a couple of tweaks to the script to put back some of the balance, she just survived battling two spheres at once in Hulk form, while she can only manage one (barely!) as herself. The final Centurion encounter was only possible by running around until she could grab the sword and escape. She might have been able to take him on in Hulk form, but it's a once-a-day power, and she'd used it already. I'll probably have her forget that spell and get it again legitimately when I have a quest for that.

QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Apr 12 2014, 11:21 PM) QUOTE(Vital @ Apr 12 2014, 09:08 AM) Something very strange happened when they had almost reached the end of the dungeon though. Erik suddenly attacked and killed Anska for no obvious reason. I simply RP'd she died fighting the draugr but it was still a bit weird...
Hmm... friendly fire? Something like that. She didn't fight back at all, it was pretty weird 11th of Morning Star, 4e 202 The bandits of Snowpoint Beacon had offered little adversary to Ravos and Erik the Slayer. The adventurers, frozen and fatigued from a hard day of travelling, stumbled upon the tower while looking for shelter. Ravos gave the outlaws ample time to prove their goodwill, opting to confront them openly rather than use his usual stealth tactics, however they made the unwise choice of greeting him with weapons drawn. The first had fallen before she could raise her shield, a single glass shaft enough to end her miserable existence. The second, a hulking redguard clad in fur-lined nordic steel had provided only slightly more of a challenge, withstanding two of Ravos’ arrows before Erik charged in, seemingly from nowhere, and gave some substance to his title. After the fight, if it could be called that, the adventuring duo went about preparing the tower for the night. They hauled the brigand’s bodies to the edge of the tower and pushed them over the crenelations and lay out their bedrolls as far away from the blood as possible. Erik tended to the fire that was roaring in the ancient brazier that adorned the tower’s roof while Ravos was busy transferring the magical energy of a soul gem into his bow. The tower provided the perfect view of the surrounding area — no doubt the intention of whichever ancient general had it constructed. From its top Ravos could see out almost as far as Hjaalmarch. It was this view that allowed him to see just how short a distance he and Erik had travelled in a day. Nightcaller Temple was still well within sight and only the formation of the land prevented him from seeing Dawnstar itself. At this rate they would be hard pressed to reach Winterhold in two days*. Still, the worst of the snow seemed to be behind them and they had plenty of provisions to last them the journey. Wary from their day of travel the adventurers ate a simple meal of salted beef, bread and snowberries and went straight to sleep, neither of them taking watch. The road ahead of them would prove to be a worthy challenge, but for now Ravos dreamt of home — a place quite unlike the Pale. * Ravos has some MQ business up on High Hrothgar that he hopes to attend to by the 21st of Morning Star. This leaves him ten days to get some adventuring done up north then head home to Riften to restock. He's trying to keep to this schedule because he likes organisation

QUOTE Erik suddenly attacked and killed Anska for no obvious reason. I simply RP'd she died fighting the draugr but it was still a bit weird... Mjoll did that in my last game. Anska tends to use AoE spells that hit everyone, and followers get a bit annoyed by that. On all my previous run-throughs, I've looked at her armor, and decided to leave her safely behind. Probably the best choice.

Today Ravos had a really weird dragon encounter.... He was hunting some deer somwhere on the road between Whiterun and Rorikstead with Erik. He's left his horse in Whiterun specifically so he could do some hunting (among other things) to stretch his legs. Anyway he's just shot a deer and runs over to take it's pelt and meat when he hears a giant's call from behind him. He turns to see a giant being dropped by an apparently mute elder dragon. The dragon leaves the dead giant right in the middle of the road and then circles above for a while, still making no noise. Ravos tries to initiate a fight by shouting at the dragon but it just flies off into the distance, without making a sound. It's not the first time I've seen a dragon to then have it fly off without a fight but it is the first mute dragon I've come across Anyway, weird dragon encounters aside, Ravos is on his way to the Reach because.... he feels like it and he wants to get his smithing up to 100 and the easiest way I've found to do this is by smelting a bunch of dwarven metal and spam-smithing dwarven bows. He travelled from Ivarstead to Riverwood then to Whiterun and now he's in Rorikstead. As I said before he left his horse in Whiterun so it can rest and also because I enjoy waking sometimes. He's going to leave Erik in Rorikstead as he wants to travel through the Reach alone. I was looking through his stats and found he has a bounty of about 3000 in the Reach. Ravos is a law-abiding ranger that serves Kynareth/Kyne so I couldn't see why he had such a large bounty on his head. I actually found I'd written about it here Apparently he mis-fired an arrow and hit an innocent bystander then he killed a couple of guards to avoid the penalty When he is in the Reach this time he'll pay off his bounty which is why he wants to go there alone... Also as usual he killed lots of bandits and even a master vampire during his travels

Ravos left Rorikstead feeling rather... apprehensive. He was glad that he had been able to return Erik to Rorikstead in one piece, not everyone returns home after following Ravos on his adventures. However he was headed into the Reach where he had a bounty of 3015 gold on his head. He was hoping to pay the price and resolve the situation civilly. He knew he needed only to walk into a settlement and lift his hood and the guards would be all over him, so that was what he planned to do. He'd left nearly everything of value on Whiterun in case the guards wanted more than just his gold, he'd even left behind his horse and his good bow. Ravos left Rorikstead and headed towards Old Hroldan via Serpenstone Bluff Redoubt. He took some 'souvenirs' from the deceased Forsworn hoping to prove his goodwill to the Markarth Hold Guards. He knew Old Hroldan was guarded by a single soldier; enough to arrest him and organise his transport to Markarth but one man wouldn't be likely to treat him badly or 'withhold' any of his goods. Sure enough, upon arrival at Old Hroldan the settlement's lone guard apprehended him and took him to Markarth. He payed off his bounty and left Silver Blood Mine that same day with his inventory untouched. He was now where he wanted to be and a day earlier than he would've been had he had walked. He went to see Calcemo to deliver a dwarven arrow he was after and also solved the Hall of the Dead's cannibal problem. He's now working to get his smithing up to level 100. Markarth is a great place to do this because of the endless heap of scrap metal in Nchaund-Zel that can be smelted into dwarven ingots. He hired Volstag to help him haul all the metal out of the ruin and currently they've been on two trips and gathered about 180 ingots worth of metal, and they're only about halfway through the dungeon. Ravos has used these ingots to spam-smith dwarven bows and currently his smithing is level 96 with 60 ingots left plus whatever else is in the ruin. It's very tedious but I want him to wear dragonscale armour for the last few quests of the MQ. Then he'll probably never use it again

QUOTE Tirdas, 16th of Midyear, Year 202
I have made fullest retuen to my haven and hovel, one of many such domiciles within Skyrimlong ago this ver y cabin was in possession of a long-deceased moral going by the name of Anise. Anise, her spriti lives within. And I, Mycharonna once of Bruma, have found fortuned to dwell witin my home. Newest home of Skyrim. Shalt I retrn to Cyrodiil perhaps?
Not now. Now the Night Mother calls, the Night Mother sings. I beckon towards her calling ----- Mycharonna the Ice Witch's mind is not always 'all there', as we can see from her latest journal entry. It's been ages since she's written one. Anyways, she has returned to Anise's Cabin, her first and favorite home. She has brought Shadowmere with her, but has no desire to have this horse around 24/7, so she's going to leave him at Anise's Cabin. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Apr 29 2014, 10:53 PM
