It is a testament both to the depths that we as people can sink too for little more then entertainment at others suffering, and the heights to which we as people in a community can love, support and know one another to levels that are more intuitive and immaterial.

I am displeased; GREATLY, at this individuals idea of a sick joke, but equally pleased to see how the best qualities of ourselves came out in a bad situation.

I don't think I am alone when I say: mALX; the *real* mALX, we still love you and support you and will wait until you are ready to return.

My self I feel like a jerk, I was very happy when I thought our squirrel had returned, sent nice PM and so on..gah...turned out to be a real bastarde...

This person intended to cause chaos and they did, although not nearly on the scale that they'd hoped. Obcessing over it and upsetting people was exactly what this guy was hoping for and he got it, doesn't matter who it is. This person is a disgraceful individual who tried to play on people's emotions that has been taken care of.

I had my suspicions too. I spoke to Liz about some things I personally found a little fishy, and I'm glad to know now that I wasn't the only one. I am even happier now that the situation has been dealt with thanks to Acadian and Kiln . . .

I'm very upset though that it isn't mALX. Here I thought our hopes would come back to us only to discover we've been lied and deceived. Thankfully the person responsible is gone. Hopefully IP banned, too. But as Acadian said it isn't impossible for the person to return to cause more trouble. One thing is for sure, we'll be ready. The fact that this person could've done so much damage if they became moderator is frightening. I can't imagine what would become of us.

As Kiln said, let us forget the issue, the person and move on. Whatever the person wanted, he got it but not to the degree he/she wanted. I for one, am pissed off about this. It means we're still waiting on mALX uncertain return and our emotions were toyed with.

How very disappointing. I wanted it to be true enough to overlook the weirdness. I appreciate the vigilance of members who are less gullible than me. While the idea of posing as our beloved squirrel while wielding an angry ban-hammer seems unlikely to succeed, a series of “So-and-so said that you suck” PMs from a trusted friend could have caused a lot of hurt feelings. Thankfully the impostor was exposed before they could use mALX’s good name for their mischief.

And I’m afraid that’s all the satisfaction that I’ll give them by discussing it.



In other news, I made a slight spectacle of myself yesterday. Yes I know, what a surprise. The Girl gave me a full bottle of nice scented lotion for no apparent reason. She got gift certificates for various occasions and had a major haul of beauty products. It’s not the kind of thing I buy for myself (I use grocery store lotion), so I was delighted.

After spending the afternoon running errands while congratulating myself over raising such a thoughtful, generous daughter I noticed that my exposed skin was giving off an unnatural glow. One might even say that I sparkled.

She gave me glitter lotion. I looked like a stripper. No, that’s overly optimistic. I looked like a stripper’s mom.

I think she’s still laughing about it. Sigh.
