Hmm. Thanks. Some people told me before to exaggerate on looking on the rear-view mirrors, taking it slow, looking everywhere. I'll definetly try this. Hopefully the instructor won't berate me on being too slow in the parking lot , I'd probably do it to be on the safe side. You know, minimize my chances of failing.

One thing you can do is telling the examiner that you are a little nervous. If it´s a good examiner he´ll understand if you make a minor mistake

I´m not telling you to lie, but many people do tend to get nervous when being inspected. Yours truly is one of them

Well, back in them days I think the exchange rate was something ridiculous like £1 = $2.50...

Now it's more like £1 = $1.50 so about $620...

Good. Now I can go back to sleep- not that the difference will be noticeable.

My hope- but not my expectation- would be for a TES that had distinct character classes, where choices made at each step would have an actual effect on gameplay.

Want to be magic-based? Cool. No heavy armor for you! (And could we PLEASE get back to heavy, medium, light, and unarmored- WITH separate pieces for each set? Well- except unarmored- unless one is playing a mechanica of some sort who must quest to find his "missing" parts )

Want to tank? No problem- but your magic supply is severely limited. And spells are harder for you to learn.

I would love to see a system of meaningful restrictions that could be CHOSEN by the player (Daggerfall took a swipe at this- and yes, it was exploitable) with the upside being you could add the loss back into a skill that matters to you.

The biggest thing I would like to see- or the most general way of putting it- would be actual customization built into the game from the start. That would mean HAVING to change your play style if you went with a different class. In Oblivion- and Skyrim is MUCH worse- it is too easy to go down the same familiar track with every character. Yes- a serious RPer can force herself to not "cheat"- but I would love to see real choices having real consequences... (Shrug) My half-septim's worth. I will probably get whatever TES comes out next, because I have all of them- including Daggerfall (the actual CD and box and all), except the travel games. However, I will read reviews and I very well may wait to buy it used and I will have no expectations.

So- that is all of that. And now for the last joke- which kinda got stepped on way back in the thread- but, no worries.

I think you guys have already said most of what is like in the best TES game. Tbh there's very few new things I'd like them to add to the series, there are many things they should bring back from earlier games.

One thing I don't think many people have mentioned is factions. I'd like to see a few (or even a lot) more factions added to the game and some restrictions on which you could join based on your current allegiances and skills. You can't realistically join two rival factions and you can't rise high in both a 'good' faction and a 'bad' faction. The dark brotherhood may not care if you are a lowly fighters guild member, but they might have a small problem of you're the leader of the FG.

In morrowind the factions you could join included the typical MG, FG and TG alongside the Morag Tong, Imperial Legion, Imperial Cult, The Temple, and the three great houses. There were also three cults for vampires and you could join the one that infected you. In daggerfall the faction list was even more lengthy (less varied but what can you expect?) You can see that there a plenty of choices for a character as to what faction and they join and most importantly (IMO) there is more than one guild for each character type (Except maybe assassin). In morrowind there wasn't just one faction for each general character type, you actually chose your characters factions based on their beliefs, background, values, desires etc. As a traveling apprentice mage in morrowind I could choose the mages guild for some general magical training or maybe I wanted to be more of a healer and would prefer to join either of the temples. Maybe I wished to make it big on House Telvanni? As a traveling Mage in Skyrim it was the college of Winterhold or nothing. Beth tried to go the whole "everyone hates mages cos axes are super über and spell crafting is too spreadsheety" but then why aren't there lots of fighter factions for me to join? There should be countless factions in Skyrim; two to three in each major city alongside the odd one in towns and the wilderness. What about a rangers/hunters guild, or two? One more devoted to Hircine and one in league with Kynareth. Not every stealthy player wants to be an assassin or theif; small and agile people can be nice too In a few minutes at 4 in the morning I've come up with two unique factions with a potential story of conflict that could develop.

See Bethesda? Not hard. Yes, I wouldn't have a hope in hell of putting that into a game but give me a team of 10 different people from your team and I probably could

Oh, and don't think because you've given us more factions that the quality can drop. No way. I don't expect a moving and dramatic 10/10 storyline for each faction I can join, but there has too be a decent, plausible plot that develops as I (slowly) make my way through the questline. I want it to exist from the beginning, but as a lowly apprentice in the MG I don't wanna be sent out by the arch mage to recover the ancient amulet of 'Zagadoth' and save the world from the threat that only appeared two minute ago. No I want to slowly advance through the ranks, having a minimum skill requirement for each rank. If I join the MG with no magical skill whatsoever I should have to do a lot of picking ingredients and collecting books for higher ranked mages. If I join with a high magical skill I should advance through the lower ranks quicker. Once I'm a higher rank I can then starting saving my faction and maybe the city it's in. Saving the world is for the MQ..

Anyway, I have plenty to say on the topic but I'll leave it there. Bit longer than I expected but there you go I love ES and it's a shame to see the games go in direction I don't like, but hey, what can ya do?

Poker is really not that hard at all. What can be tricky is if you´re faking that you have cards that you don´t, but we don´t play with those rules. We just play out our cards and the one with the best cards win, simple as that
