I think I'm addicted to something.


I just can't figure out WHAT.

Well, there's a statement that needs some explanation.

I've got a craving for something and it's stressing me out that I can't satisfy it.

I think it might be a craving for that warm feeling you get when rum is ingested.

You got hooked on rum?

Well a craving isn't the same as an addiction, the latter necessitates a degree of dependency.

But the more stressed you get the less likely you are to get anywhere. Try relaxing a little.

I've had trouble with alcohol in the past

Well, my previous post really isn't applicable then.

Wish I could dish out some advice, but I'm afrain I've got nothing.

I try not to but drinking relaxes me.


ugh. I can't get hooked again. I tried so hard to stay off alcohol. I'll just throw out all alcoholic beverages. That'll help...maybe.

Sounds like a good place to start.

Maybe try watching a film or playing a game or something?

Anything that'll distract you, even if it won't help you relax?

Hang in there, bud Like Callidus said keep yourself distracted by doing things you like, or start doing new things that you might start to enjoy doing. I have never been a drinker myself so I haven´t been there, but I imagine it´s like when someone trying to lose weight has to stop buying candy and cookies and whatnot. It´s hard, but for every time you get yourself to not buy anything you will feel tremendous pride that you were so strong that you could resist

Imagine that hungry feeling.


But you don't have food.

The longer you go without food the more your stomach hurts and the sicker you feel.

It's something like that.


Ugh. I'll be fine. Been through this before. Not easy but I can stop while it's not TOO bad.

Me too. You and her were always on when I joined up and I don´t want her to stay away.

Maybe she'll come back to the forums.
