Doesn't stir-fried imply onions? It might even imply the ginger too.
It's like Cajun recipes start with a roux, onions, bell peppers and celery and then decide what they're making. You don't even look in the fridge to see what other ingredients you have until you get that far. -------------------- |

Good point. Or the ‘Holy Trinity’ of carrots, onions, and celery. You could be making a roast or soup and you still start with those three in a pan.
