@KC: You got a fancy piece of paper! I got the second carbon from a computer printout with mine.

The "Associate of the Royal College of Science" certificate that came along with it was way more impressive than the degree itself.

Technically I don't have the fancy paper yet... it should be in the mail sometime soon. Lol I hope mine is nicer than a printout! Ah what would it really matter if it was though.

The story that follows is not as good- but is probably representative- or something....

So when one becomes a Doggie of a Certain Age, one does not sleep through the night, because of... reasons™.

When I have to go on one of those excursions, I do not bother with my glasses- or to turn on any lights- in fact, I try to stay as close to still asleep as possible.

So, several nights ago, I wander down the hall and into the bathroom. The black and white cat is resting on the throw rug- which is not unusual for him- keeps his belly warm and the rest of him in the air-conditioning. Just as I am beginning the process of ... removing hydraulic pressure... I feel something small and fuzzy "tap" my foot. Then the yellow Princess cat darts past my legs. "Oh- just a small, delicate kitty paw," I think.

Mission accomplished, I step out and see that Princess Kitty and her cohorts are chasing a live mouse. The same one she just dropped on my foot...

So, my aunt is making it all difficult with how we´re gonna break up the farm, and so is our other neighbour. I swear, someday I´m gonna [censored] kill someone!!

Wish I could say I hadn't seen that coming... ...

My sympathies matey...Hopefully it'll work out alright for all of you...

It’s a gorgeous day in Grits world. The Grits males are engaged in some frightful event called “Sports Day” that thankfully has nothing to do with me. The Girl and I are going out for coffee soon. Our local shop has a very nice potted garden/patio area. And today it’s a little too windy for the bees.

Hi people! I've no idea of how long it's been since I last posted anything here, so it's probably about time to post an update and let you guys know I'm alive.

Because of various reasons (studying for my drivers licence, school, my upcoming trip to Africa next term, earning money for that upcoming trip) I've been incredibly busy and have been forced to prioritise things that aren't writing or orienteering. Life's good though, partly because I've been so busy. I've finally managed to get a job over the summer, I'm pretty certain I'll be ready to get my licence as soon as I finish the theory stuff I need to do online, my trip is now a certainty, and next week is the last week of school Well, for this term at least.

I'm not likely to get back to regularly posting anytime soon, but I hope everyone's alright. And for those of you who're having troubles, I hope it all works out.
