Today our boss yelled at us for taking too long to do something. This resulted in us shipping away stuff that didn´t have a good finish, in fact no where near what could be even considered good finish.


Oh, well. I´m still getting payed so what do I care?

Yeah, it is really not smart to tell an employee their days are numbered and then keep the disgruntled employee around to either go postal on everyone or sabotage the company that is dumping them, ROFL!!!

Well, we only made those things badly because he literally told us to. He saw they came out bad but he was like "Just get it done so we can ship it!"

Financial difficulties, most likely. One of the first steps to cutting company costs is to cut the amount of time inventory spends in the company. Inventory is costly. Next is to whittle down the employee roster.

Your position was temporary anyway, but depending on how you came to them they may not have had a choice in not keeping you on.

For example: if you came to them via an employment agency then they can't offer you a permanent position without "buying out your contract" from that agency - kind of a large "finders fee" for finding a good employee and sending it to them.

Most companies won't pay it, because those fees are usually really high (but if they are cutting costs then they probably can't do it even if they want to).

Ehm, I don´t think we have that fee over here. At least I have never once heard of it But yeah, if I were to become a regular employee then I would cost much more money than I do now since they get a contribution for taking me in.
