Urgh, looks like the only way around that is Steam mellow.gif

Sorry 'Rocu, 'tis a shame.

I think now's the perfect time for those of us who've played the game to have a proper chat about just how good it was evillol.gif

Chat away all you want. Just found a workaround for that little roadblock.. wink.gif

At first I thought I couldnīt save because I was in a tutorial, but I soon found out I couldnīt save at all and that GFWL was to blame. So before I uninstalled it and chalked it up as failure, I made one last search on how to work around it and it appears you can create an offline account with which you can play the game as usual and not having to deal with GFWL in any way.

So I chalked it up as success instead.. wink.gif

Sounds like you're having fun, mirocu. I never could get through the first Bioshock.

I just got my copy of The Last of Us for the PS4. If you haven't played it yet do so, you won't regret it.

There are a few reasons. First and foremost I’ve never been a big fan of first person shooters. I play The Elder Scrolls almost entirely in third person. The only FPS games I’ve liked have been the Half Life series and, strangely enough, Star Wars: Republic Commandos... in fact, those games are the only reason I even wanted to try Bioshock.

When Bioshock dropped in Aug. 07 I was still working my way through Shivering Isles and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Then Half Life came back with the release of The Orange Box that Oct. Coupled with The Witcher (which my PC at the time could run) that took me into Nov. when Assassin’s Creed and the first Mass Effect came out (in retrospect, '07 was a great year for gamers). By the time I got around to Bioshock it was probably late summer ’08 and I just couldn’t get into it.

IīVE COMPLETED BIOSHOCK 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Oh dear god, was it good!! I mean, whatever exists beyond awesomeness square, thatīs where this game is!! Last fight was ridiculous! They just kept on coming! I had Eleanor to help me but holy moly, it didnīt stop! It wasnīt until awhile I figured out I had to shoot the tanks in order to flood the area. I was so full of adrenaline so I didnīt quite get what Eleanor said to me I should do.

Brave, brave Eleanor! She helped me as much as she could, and she freed the Little Sisters from pediatrics and helped them escape Rapture. And oh friggin god, the ending...

Now, let me make one thing perfectly clear. Iīm a man. A manly man. But Bioshock 1 and 2 endings both had me burst out in tears (manly)! I donīt do that, not even when Molle died did I cry, and I loved that cat to, well, death..

I did not harvest a single Little Sister in either game, and I didnīt kill Gracie in this one. Though I did put Stanley Poole to rest. It was actually what Eleanor said that helped me decide that..

BUT OH MY GOD, IT IS DONE!! BIOSHOCK 2 IS DONE!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Reading carefully between the lines here, mirocu, I get the impression that you enjoyed the game and its ending. wink.gif

It really is wonderful that sometimes we can get so vested in our games, isn't it? tongue.gif

Well, with Bioshock 2 said and done Iīve opened up yet another session of Star Wars: Rebellion. This time Iīm the Alliance. I usually play as them since I donīt want to be evil, but seeing as you do the exact same thing anyway I played as the Empire last time. If nothing else Iīm able to use the Star Destroyers and to see different cinematic ending.

I didn't realize Tullius had Star Destroyers? wink.gif biggrin.gif

Welcome to the side of Order! Last night I fired up Tie Fighter, and played a few of the early missions in the Dimok-Ripoblus campaign. Even after all these years, it is still a great game. Between the two of us, I am sure we can crush that pitiful band of Rebels.

Have you ever played Empire at War, Rosa? Itīs apparently the successor to Rebellion and Iīm told itīs pretty good.

You rebel scum! biggrin.gif

I never liked real time strategy games, so I didn't bother with Rebellion or Emp at War. If they were nice turn-based strategy games like X-Com or Wasteland 2, I would have been all over them.
