How's the weather where any of you are?...

It just snowed, it's just about to snow, and I need to go to the shops ...

Firewood is fine

But our main point of focus is the open area behind the cottage where we´re gonna build up the new tractor/ATV/excavator/trailer garage...

In fact, tomorrow we´re gonna have a nice li´l bonfire there. Easy Fun way to get rid of some evidence twigs, ya know.. And if it does happen, I WILL post pixies here!!!

weather's ok here. Kind-of-cold-but-not-too-cold sort of thing. I was up home for the weekend and there was a little snow there. Classic February.

The weather? Well- they were predicting "bad things" ™ to happen sometime today. So I naturally frittered (or possibly apple turnovered) the day away. My excuse was that the usual pattern around these parts is for the weather folk to say "Snow!" and everyone races to the store to buy things they don't really need- as if we will be unable to get out for weeks at a time.

And then there was also the Great Shower Rod Project, which I may describe some other time- when the scars have healed and the statute of limitations has run out...

So anyway, this all meant that, as I stepped out the door to get our normal weekly grocery run taken care of, the... material falling from the sky was... crackling. But the store is only a mile or so away, so I persisted. And there were apparently a great many other weather skeptics who had suddenly become True Believers- along with their entire families... who tend to swirl and eddy and generally get in the way of the One Thing I Need on This Aisle Thank You Very Much. (sorry- deep breaths, deep breaths).

By the time I got back to the vehicle, she had a lovely coating of ice.... But I am home now and the birds will appreciate the sunflower seeds.

Er - how do you have birds with your cat? How is this possible? Because I have a pretty heart-shaped urn on my mantle where my beloved English Budgie found out the hard way that cats and birds should not be housed together; that the squirt bottle and having their own separate rooms in the house does not stop a determined cat.

...Yeah!...I dare say there'll be someone inventing that very thing soon enough... ...They once had a radio station that was entirely dedicated to birdsong...It was a huge hit!...Sadly, the powers that be took it off the air because it was only ever meant to be a test channel, and wasn't funded...So they took it off air - to a huge outcry - sadly, no one would stump up the money to bring it back...Or chase the licence for it...


D'you know...We have a game that is an aquarium generator...Choose the fish, put them in the tank with some Assorted Tank Decoration Objects™ and watch them go...Hugely relaxing...You can feed the fish too...But it makes no difference, the fish never die if you don't...

It's strange what people will spend money developing... ...
