Making you rebuy the games, lol. I've already re-bought the games for the PC when my consoles both broke; so I think I'll have to forego buying the XB1.

It says a lot about the majority of gamers when all it takes to get them to rebuy a game for a new console is basically a shiny coat of paint.

And it also has the bonus for microsoft of padding out their range of games for the XB1, which is, at the moment, what's holding back both of the next gen consoles.

QUOTE(mALX @ May 9 2015, 09:06 PM) *

It would be nice if this new "more like a computer" type console could allow for modded games, wouldn't it?

Ah, but then you'd have to buy keyboard and mouse peripherals to mod properly, need to sign up for the paid version of xbox live/psn, and probably have to buy the program to mod the game anyway. At that point, would it really be worth it? They might even be able to get away with charging for mods on consoles. *shudder*

You know, he is such a great kid - he has never said a word about me breaking his 360, but I can tell it upset him not to have it to play on. I bought him a new computer for XMas, because I didn't want his XMas present to be me replacing something I broke of his, lol.

His XBox worked steadily from 2006 till I borrowed it, I owe him this.

Yeah, you made some really great points here. I was wondering about the game lineup for the new consoles too, because if they aren't going to make them backwards compatible, and there are no new games out there to go on them; that is going to be one expensive dust collector sitting on the shelves unused.

What do you want to bet that the Fallout 4 console game will require XB1? laugh.gif Just kidding.

so the Xbox One is doing well so far. Everything's very shiny and 'next gen'. Master Chief Collection is almost done downloading (this is day 4 or 5) and I've played through Halo 1 and 2 Anniversary editions. Now I just need more games to play. biggrin.gif

Hope all you Americans had a nice Mother's Day.

Had a slight fender bender today. As I was slowly moving forward from a parking lot (not making a left out into the street yet) some woman cut me off to get to the lot in front of me. She came pretty fast too and didn´t see me.

Both our cars got some scuffs but nothing more. We talked and she apologized and wanted to give me some money for the damage, but I didn´t accept it. After all, her car got scuffs too. Anyway, we decided to just drop it but we sort of know each other so if there´s an issue later we can get in contact.

Oh, pish-posh embarrased.gif

She didn´t do it on purpose, these things happen. Besides, neither car got a dent so it was just paint damage which is quite easily fixed.

When something happens completely unexpected - takes you completely by surprise and is not a good thing - it is how you react in those instances that tells a lot about you. Face it, you are just pure nice! laugh.gif

I know. I´m great laugh.gif

On another note, me and Rocu senior went on a trip today! I hopped into the tractor and he in the car and we drove off far into the woods. Our mission: to strip down an old garage and use the timber for our own devious plans! If we can safely transport the sides we´ll take those too and put it all up again at our place. Maybe the ATV can live in there? biggrin.gif

Can you take it after it was sold? Did the new owners allow it?

Not sure what you mean. Nothing was sold and no new owners Oh, you mean the garage at my parents´ house? Oh, no, not that garage. This garage is at a relative´s place. He´s bought some land adjacent to his old land and is currently renovating the house but he doesn´t want to keep the old garage. He was gonna tear it down and haul it away to the dump when he caught wind of us looking for something like that smile.gif

Now I´m confused tongue.gif So you meant the one we´re getting from the guy who is gonna rent my parents the house? Well, we might not get that anyway. We think it´s too wide for the road up to our cottage so we may have to order a new one (which will arrive unassembled) after all kvleft.gif

But then we have the opportunity to get it exactly how we want it smile.gif

No, I was talking about that workshop I've seen pictures of for years now - where you make things in wood. I thought you owned that woodshop/garage. I don't know any details about who owns what - just thought that workshop was the garage you were talking about. (Sorry, I was obviously wrong, lol).
