Yep, and if I ever divorce my husband, I don't have to move to an entirely different state to marry a hot lady. Not that I wanna divorce him. I'm pretty attached to him lol Anyways, a few updates: My second book is out. Third one is being released hopefully before mid-July. Because I was so used to writing short chapters on here, I have to retrain myself to write longer chapters for actual books. So that's set me back a whole lot. I'm getting there, though. A bunch of other stuff too, as usual. But whatever.

They showed the hot dog eating contest on the news tonight here in Australia. What was it? Like 62 in 10 minutes or something. Ha Americans! You guys are crazy. Is that like a fourth of July thing? Anyway. Happy Independence! Sounds like Maxical in the University, mALX! Beware the explosions. This post has been edited by Winter Wolf: Jul 5 2015, 11:03 AM

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 4 2015, 05:40 PM) I had a brat for lunch, and now I'm about to sit down to eat some Yakisoba for dinner, and maybe watch The Good, The Bad, The Weird. Go 'Merica! Was that a brat as in an impish child or as in bratwurst? QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ Jul 5 2015, 05:56 AM) They showed the hot dog eating contest on the news tonight here in Australia. What was it? Beware the explosions. My husband celebrates the 4th of July with a case of Budweiser in one hand and a bag of fireworks in the other. The stories of his mishaps are legendary in this area; from the time he wanted to try a can to house a bottle rocket and the lightweight can tipped with the igniting of the rocket and so the rocket chased all our guests around the property (literally turning corners like it was a heat seeking missile) - to the time he tried to see into the bag of fireworks using a sparkler and set the whole bag on fire so bottle rockets were shooting out in every direction and those huge pinwheels were exploding along the whole side of our house - there are still holes in the wall that come all the way through to the inside. Not to mention the rocket that is still stuck in the neighbor's roof, the house has even sold with it in there! There was an incident where he set up a board on a makeshift table to set off those "Bumble Bees" - there was no where safe to hide for at least a mile from those, they went in every direction. My husband is a brilliant man who can program robots to build anything even when the instructions are in Japanese; but no one would believe that once they have seen him on the 4th of July. The neighbors take bets on how long it will take him to have "an incident."

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 5 2015, 02:07 PM) The wurst kind, not the annoying kid (the worst kind). QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 5 2015, 02:07 PM) When I was an annoying child, me and my friends used to like to put M-80s under buckets. They would explode and send the bucket flying high up into the air. For the gods sake, don't give him any ideas! QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 5 2015, 03:47 PM) I spent 4th of July alone with a terrified dog and a bottle of vodka. That is my existence now lol
Is this your Dad's dog still? And I know what you mean, we had to kennel Dixie, she went into a frenzy. Wait, where was Snuggles and Hubby? (and In-Laws, lol).

mALX, your fireworks stories are leaving me in a heightened state of anxiety. I cannot imagine how your puppies handle 4th of July. Or the other pets in 100 miles for that matter.... Sounds like he needs to program some robot or system to do the fireworks for him. Set it up the day before and sit back with the Budweiser and a push button. Kind of like those ghouls in NV. Press and fly!

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 6 2015, 01:21 AM) He's really weird...he is so hard to get to sleep, but once he's asleep, you can turn on the lights and be really loud and it doesn't bother him. But no matter what, he's up at eight in the morning. No matter what.
You are lucky he sleeps in then, lol. My boys were like that as far as hard to get to bed but got up at the same time every day - but they got up at 5 am no matter how late they were up fighting going to bed the night before, lol. My youngest used to come in my room and turn the TV on, I'd be hearing "Blues Clues" in my sleep and having nightmares about Steve ... but when SpongeBob Squarepants came on, there was no sleeping through that laugh, QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ Jul 6 2015, 04:52 AM) mALX, your fireworks stories are leaving me in a heightened state of anxiety. Even my old Doberman who wasn't afraid of anything used to go under the farm shed when we set off fireworks, which was unusual with us right there in the back yard where he could be spending time with us (which was his favorite thing).
