So as I mentioned, Haa-Rei was on a break today. I took the opportunity to bring his best friend Trivea into Tamriel.

Unfortunately she refused to set foot into Morrowind without having a decent outfit to wear. Haa-Rei crafted her some gear (the outfit in the screenie), and mumbled something about slavery being illegal, before returning to his day off. Trivea has now decided that Haa-Rei can craft all of her outfits in the future, but she'll craft her own weapons.

She's going down the dual-wielding Nightblade route, but I was originally planning to make her a mage so she could make use of her Dunmer increased fire damage. There's no arguing with some people though...

It is possible the person has read your story and wondered-recognized Lildereth. Did you watch the chat box to see if they tried to speak with you? And if they ask to join you or friend you it shows up fairly small on the bottom of the screen, I've almost missed those messages a few times.

I think they were just eyeing up her girlness. Character names aren’t visible anywhere on the screen on the PS4, and there’s no text chat box on the PS4 interface. They would see my PSN ID above her head, not her name. If a player wants to interact with me I get a message on my screen that I can’t miss, and it’s a quick radial-menu response for me to reply with no typing necessary. I don’t know what happens when you actually group with someone, since I’m busy with my own character’s business and have always turned people down when they ask. whistling.gif Anyway Lil is doing a bit of her own ogling now. I had forgotten she has a thing for Altmer men.

Lil also scored a sweet bit of treasure while snooping for the queen, was inexplicably sighted by a guard while taking it, escaped pursuit, and fenced it with her new friends under Vulkhel Guard. The queen has named her one of the Eyes of the Queen. Lil thinks that the queen's eyes don't need to see everything.

hazmick, welcome to Trivea! She looks great, and that’s a very nice outfit that Haa Rei made for her. I’m interested to hear what Nightblade abilities she takes. Lil has Strife morphed to Swallow Soul and it seems to be healing her pretty well now, plus Shadow Cloak which is pretty useless on its own so far but looks like it will come in handy paired with some other skills.

Darnand Penoit the Adventure Mage (feeling naked here with his legs exposed before he found a robe) is wandering the sands and shores of Stros M’Kai collecting Dwemer artifacts and rescuing pirates as he goes. He is accompanied by Merry the mudcrab who followed him from the beach at the Daggerfall South Docks and Stinker the summoned scamp. In the absence of a true healing spell he is admittedly sunburned and heat-struck, but he’s having a marvelous time.

He’s a Sorcerer class of course. His Unstable Familiar does very little damage but tends to draw at least one enemy away from Darnand, which is critical since he is in all light armor. His Crystal Shard ability does good damage and knocks the target down for two seconds, which is enough time for him to get a heavy attack in with his fire staff. Lil would be having a much easier time as a Sorcerer at least at this beginner level. Hopefully her stealth will develop and allow her to tackle situations in a different way than blowing things up as she meets them. When Darnand gets the chance he will morph Crystal Shards into the version with area damage and Unstable Familiar into the one that heals you when it expires. He really needs a healing ability.

Darnand’s tendency to hyper-focus has caused him to stumble into a few clumps of enemies. If he’s looking for runes, that’s all he sees until something clobbers him. Situational Awareness is not a skill tree, but his is improving just the same. tongue.gif

Welcome to Darnand! He looks just like he's supposed to look. goodjob.gif

I can imagine what you mean about his hyper focus. If searching for a rare text, I'd guess that being attacked is merely a very dangerous distraction to him. wink.gif

Darnand is looking studly. But no robe! ohmy.gif Be careful, he might burn these pictures to erase the evidence.

She is beautiful, and the armor is gorgeous! Is that Dwemer? No, no arguing with a woman, lol. She looks like she will be fun!

Wow, Darnand is handsome! Bubba is the same in that he noticed a rune even while hearing a wolf growling, and thought he could nab it before the wolf was able to launch its attack. Of course he took damage and didn't get the rune till after the battle, lol.

Hazmick, welcome to Trivea! She looks fabulous. A dual wielding Nightblade sounds like great fun and suits a Dunmer perfectly.

Trivea is looking good. I like her name. The last has Hecate hidden in there, while the first is much like Trivia, which is what the Romans called her (being that she is a crossroads goddess, ruling the three ways).

Glad you all like Trivea, and extra points to SubRosa for the correct breakdown of her names. happy.gif

It's interesting to play as a melee character every now and then. The dual-wielding seems to put out loads more damage than bows, and Triv is having a great time dancing across the battlefield and draining the life from her hapless foes using the siphoning skills.

We've just arrived in Bal Foyen, and have reached the point where we have to choose between assisting the fort, and assisting the docks. We were heading to the fort when we heard that Captain Rana was leading the defense of the docks. Unfortunately for the fort-dwellers, Trivea shares Haa-Rei's feelings toward beautiful Dunmer lasses. The docks it is then.

Meanwhile, when he's not crafting new outfits for his Dunmeri friend, Haa-Rei is still assisting the Daggerfall Covenant. Did some stuff in a graveyard, and now we have to help High King Emeric attack a fort. By 'help' of course I mean 'do all the fighting and running around'. We just want to get through it all so we can start the Aldmeri Dominion questline.

I agree, I've never even played duel wield in Skyrim, and I just planned to test it out in ESO; but it was a lot more powerful and has some huge spells and perks. Bubba is still using it.

I chose the docks too, then later saw a vid of what I missed at the fort - wished I'd picked the fort, it had a bunch of extra tasks on top of the combat.

On the docks - I got killed in the hold of a ship and had no soul gems, so had to resurrect at a shrine; and the game wouldn't let me back into the hold - instead it said I finished the quest when I tried (I guess while dead, lol).

Jerric let the soldiers handle the docks and joined Darj in defense of the fort. Cute as the Dunmeri captain was, Darj had him at ‘civilians.’ It’s been fun to catch up with the people they saved as their paths have crossed. Some of them have gotten ballsy and joined the Pact. I think it’s the Earth-Turner lad who decided if he couldn’t fight, he could at least cook for the cause. biggrin.gif

The fort battle was a real pain. You had to close a bunch of portals, and it was hard to get to one before someone else closed it. Hard as in annoying, not as in an interesting challenge. It was pretty clear with all of the other players that they had enough folks fighting at the fort! rolleyes.gif

Personally, I would have chosen the fort. Trivea was the one in charge though, and she'd rather rescue 1 confirmed cute Dunmer than a few civilians whose cuteness is an unknown. Maybe I'll get to take the fort one day, if I bring any other characters in. tongue.gif

So after we saved Bal Foyen, Triv decided she'd done enough running around for one day. Thus, I rejoined Haa-Rei.

At the moment we're fighting Imperials with the Daggerfall Covenant. The Empire isn't very nice at this point in history - they do slavery and stuff. Haa-Rei is also trying to find more Dwemer style materials so he can craft more nice gear, but we just can't find any sad.gif It only drops from Dwemer constructs, and even then it's a really uncommon drop. On top of that, you need 10 pieces of the stuff to craft a single item of clothing. They sure aren't making this easy.

I wasn't thinking about other players at the time, only the extra fun of closing the portals, lol. But I ran across that a lot in several quests, so know what you are saying exactly.

I agree about the post quest dialogue with NPC's you've helped in the past, they did an excellent job with that - I thought much better than Oblivion, where it was rare to have an NPC even refer to your past experience with them.

*

In Daggerfall your main questline is helping a bunch of (hilarious) scalywag boat crew (who were hijacked by the bad guys) to escape the dungeons they are being held in; and meanwhile you learn some info on a plot to take over Daggerfall by these bad guys. You help save the town for the Tribal Chief of the Orc Clan there.

What happens is that the player is instrumental in getting the Orc to join the Daggerfall Covenant, they were not already joined to it already when the player first enters the story. I really liked that, being there as a part of the history itself.

The main questline is a lot of fun, for example: the Captain (a pretty female) of the ship asks you to help her crew - one of the men you save is a man called Jaken; and everywhere you go women are talking about Jaken and oohing and aahing over him.

So when you have saved the crew and the city and have to board the ship to leave, the Captain tells you to get acquainted with the crew - all the women on the crew you talk to are arguing over which will bed him first, and this one man says he joined the crew just to see Jaken with his shirt off sweating ... "He has such ... stamina!" -

rollinglaugh.gif

So it was a much more fun main questline, but did not have as many misc quests as Ebonheart Pact did - in fact it had very few side quests period in the two starter islands and main town of Daggerfall.

I also liked the friendliness of the people (NPC's) in Ebonheart Pact much better, in Daggerfall Bubba has heard derogatory comments since he arrived, (even before he became a thief).

I've only had one drop an item for all those I've killed. I stuffed it into the bank in case I get more, but so far no luck.

Haa-Rei finally managed to get through the Daggerfall Covenant questline. It was so boring after a while I thought we'd never finish it sad.gif

Unfortunately the Aldmeri Dominion starting area is veteran level 6, and our Argonian is only Vet. 4 so even one regular enemy is a difficult task. We've done all the side quests and dungeons we can find, so I'll have to do some pretty heavy duty grinding to level up, and I honestly can't be bothered to spend several days wandering around and killing everything in sight. I think Haa-Rei needs about 1,500,000 xp to get to Vet. 6

I think I'll rejoin Trivea and see what trouble she can get into back in Morrowind. happy.gif

I was really surprised how few misc and side quests there were in Daggerfall! It was like the main questline was all there was, and even the few misc and side quests were tied in to the main quest so you couldn't escape the theme of it.

Although I did enjoy helping the scalywag ship's crew instead of the normal political quests, but there wasn't any diversification in the quests to keep them interesting like there was in Ebonheart.

OH! While you were in Daggerfall, did you find the "Chill House?" Below it is one of those special enchanted armor making places. It isn't far from the city gates and wayshrine.

Yeah it all feels a bit empty, and the questline feels disjointed without a clear path through it. Feels very 'samey' all the way through. There are some fun people though, as you've discovered.

I did indeed find Chill House. Those wilderness crafting stations are really handy!

Today Haa-Rei has been back to Bleakrock. Hunting wolves, mining ore, chopping wood. Partially to relax, and partially to get materials for Trivea's ever expanding wardrobe.

I'm going to take him back through every area we've visited to make sure we've fully explored it and got all the achievements. Hopefully that should nudge us to Veteran level 5 and make the Aldmeri Dominion quests a bit easier to manage.

The Ebonheart area has much more crafting supplies spawning than the other two alliance areas combined.

Lil is on Khenarthi’s Roost trying to avoid quests and do a little exploring. There’s a big invasion supposedly occurring, so she just goes the long way around those docks. Lil is not easily fooled into thinking that this is her real world. laugh.gif

She’s wearing a rawhide Argonian-style top that looks very strappy and cute. A lot of the tops are long and look good on her with no pants, but she only goes bare-legged where it’s safe.

Her last attribute points have gone into Stamina, and it seems to be paying off with her bow damage. She took the Agony ability from the Nightblade’s Siphoning skill line. Agony lets her pin an enemy in place while she deals with their friend or until the pinned enemy takes further damage. A few times she’s had to run away, and fortunately the things chasing her had short attention spans and no ranged attack. Also she just now figured out that’s she’s been exclusively using her bow’s heavy attack, which takes a long time to draw. Tapping the trigger executes a light attack, which is a fast, lower-damage arrow. Sigh.

hazmick, good hunting to Haa Rei on Bleakrock! I'm going to bring Lil and Darnand up to Jerric's level if I can so that they'll all be collecting and using the same level supplies. It's a real pain doing it this way.

Oh, I forgot to mention the amount of time Lil has spent dancing with various Khajiit. It’s a lot. happy.gif

My latest character is also on Khenarthi’s Roost, listening to a Khajiit playing the lute and watching the Khajiit women dancing in front of him. I was testing out an Imperial character and was stunned to see how badly they dance, now I won't let her dance in public. When I make my final character, it will most def be a Nord; although not for their dancing. So far the Altmer have it going on best with the dancing.

What I've been doing is having Bubba craft whatever the girls need, and just stick it in the bank for them to take. He has also been socking gold into the bank for them to buy backpacks and feed their horses with. That way the girls can concentrate their skill points on defense.

I have also got a character in every province, just testing each out to see which I like best to make one character to play the game with (and now have tested out all four Classes and settled on Nightblade as my favorite; Templar as my second favorite).

It is really hard to pick one Alliance over the other. Ebonheart has all those crafting supplies; good quests, and a huge exploration area. So far it has remained my favorite - but I am just now beginning to explore the Aldmeri area.

One thing I love about the Aldmeri area is also one of the things I dislike about it = there is an anchor mooring right behind the main building in the first town you arrive at. Well, it is being triggered constantly, so it is very noisy there.

But that said, when it opens there are numerous people there to help you with it! So I have gotten my courage up and ventured out with my level 6 character numerous times and so far 6 times I have gained the chest at the end plus the great loot from any of the huge Daedric enemies that came out of the gate that I managed to kill.

So it has kept me loaded up in armor and weapons to wear/research/deconstruct; so actually she has been able to buy her own backpack and feed her own horse without having to resort to stealing or borrow from Bubba. I haven't seen the whole area yet, but liked what I've seen so far other than the lack of crafting supplies.

Daggerfall's quests are more fun but there aren't hardly any side or misc quests; and any that are there seem to tie into the main quest - and it storms there constantly. I live in an area that storms constantly, so my fantasy game is not going to be lightning and thunder claps around me in game all the time.

Daggerfall was relatively small too, or had less Skyshards - all I know is that in no time at all I had the Skyshard Hunter and Pathfinder achievements for it - with a very low level character, too.

I still don't have either achievement for the Ebonheart or Aldmeri mainlands; and I had help in Ebonheart to reach them, lol.

One of them in the Aldmeri is a level 15 dungeon that I'll most def need a higher level character to reach (or sneak in behind a group who is cleaning house for me).

Once I get the shard, it doesn't matter if the enemies kill me because you can choose to resurrect at the Wayshrine and it puts you at the door to the dungeon - convenient for leaving the place, lol.

** Oh, I have run across a few familiar Oblivion Altmer in the Aldmeri! That was very cool, to kind of see them at a different time in their lives!

mALX, all of my characters can dance in all of the racial dance styles. We use a menu, so I can’t tell you how to do it on the PC. Maybe try /dancewoodelf or /dancenord instead of just /dance.
