QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 8 2015, 10:28 PM) I know WHAT I want to write, but I have to be in a specific headspace to do so. By the time I have the quiet time to write, I'm too tired. During the day I have things i have to do, so I can't do it.
I have way too much experience with that same problem. Recently I've been trying to force myself to write when I'm not in the frame of mind I generally rely on. It's not been going well. I can write, but it's an uphill struggle, and its not nearly as much fun. I wish I had something helpful I could suggest, but I'm down to relying on sheer bloody-minded stubbornness at this point.

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 8 2015, 10:41 PM) Ha! I tried that, too. It literally exhausted me further.
I can type up a little short story no problem, almost. But the actual story that I'm creating is so difficult.
I am having the exact problem. I've found that I can sometimes knock myself into the right mindset, either by visualising scenes that come ahead that I'd like to write, those that have the right feel to them, or by just typing until I hit a turn of phrase or something that gets me in the groove. It doesn't work nearly as often as I'd like, but every time it does it's another victory.

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 9 2015, 04:28 PM) Amazon sent me an email telling me they think they knew a few books I'd be interested in.
At the top was MY book XD
Sometimes Amazon really don't seem to know what they're doing.

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 9 2015, 06:18 PM) Funny thing though, every time I go to link someone my book, it has a bunch of gay erotica on the list of "People who bought this book also bought" and my book isn't erotica!!
There's a joke about subliminal messaging in there somewhere

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jul 9 2015, 08:58 PM) Well, I've gotten a lot of free erotica from Amazon, but apparently others think my book is about gay werewolf sex. Or lesbian werewolf sex. That's a completely separate series XD
It's probably not that hard a mistake to make, considering how Amazon categorise things. The number of times I've been checking out the fantasy section and winced at seeing sci-fi or paranormal romance(at least) in amongst them...
