QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Sep 3 2015, 12:19 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Sep 3 2015, 05:09 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Sep 3 2015, 11:55 AM) I'm wondering how an idea and ten minutes of Oblivion gameplay can spawn four pages of writing, and I'm still not finished yet.
Isn't that awesome when that happens? Oblivion (to me) was hugely inspiring for creative imagination; roleplay; writing. Yeah, but it's kind of crazy. I think it's as much down to the character as Oblivion, though. He just sort of turned up and started talking. He's only partway through the tutorial, and I just had to start writing about him. I don't know that I find Oblivion massively inspiring, but there's something about I find extraordinarily comfortable, like a really nice armchair or something. It's kind of hard to put into words. Since I've been running into writer's block at every turn lately, I'm enjoying it while it lasts. Great idea, write while the inspiration hits!

QUOTE(mirocu @ Sep 4 2015, 04:02 AM) QUOTE(Uleni Athram @ Sep 3 2015, 05:46 PM) I'm wandering the net, visiting sites in my history cache. Heheh, its more trippy than I imagined it would be.
And Iīm not sure Iīd like to know that history... Yeah, all teenagers belong to the "don't look at my browser history, mom" club.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Sep 4 2015, 06:45 AM) I believe though that Uleniīs browser history is worse than others "Browsing any sites in this history may be hazardous to your health..." QUOTE(Uleni Athram @ Sep 4 2015, 08:02 AM) Much, much worse. Can you traumatize yourself? I did. The Horror... The Horror!
If you ever REALLY want to be traumatized, be the "middle-man" in a gross-out war between Foxy and Blackie. It took me 3 months to close my eyes and not picture some of those images!

It was very epic, and horrifying all at the same time, I learned things I never wanted to know! It was one of those times you REALLY shouldn't click on a link, but ... beyond your control felt compelled to, urgh! I would venture to say that; whatever your history holds, it could never match what I saw then, lol. This post has been edited by mALX: Sep 4 2015, 07:36 PM

QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Sep 4 2015, 03:56 PM) We'd better change the subject then, before some memory of it gets stirred up. How's your week been? Not great, my son was in a car accident. He wasn't injured, but was hurt if you know what I mean. He aches and is stiff and sore, has bruises and lumps and welts from the seat belt; but no serious injuries (although they are watching the bump on his head). So I've been pretty stressed out by that. Mothers always worry when their child walks out the door to go anywhere, and this is exactly why. You never know what can happen to them when they walk out that door, that you won't be there to save them from, urk. But he seems to be doing better today; he went to both school and work today, so ... all is well (WHEW!).

A car accident?? Heīs lucky then he didnīt suffer any major injuries, one can live with a few bruises. One guy I know got caught in between two full-size trucks. He was standing well behind one at an intersection and this other one came from behind and the driver didnīt notice they were standing still. When he did he stepped on the brakes of course, but these things take some time to stop as you know and the guyīs car got pretty much totalled. His legs got shot to pieces but remarkably the doctors managed to patch him up and by now he can walk pretty much normally again although I imagine he canīt run too good. He must have had a dozen guardian angels that day. Iīm still amazed he wasnīt killed. Well, all the best to mALX jr

It is so amazing that the doctors were able to save his life, no less that he is able to walk again. Yes, I would say he had a whole team of guardian angels working on his side that day! Thanks for the good wishes for my son, I appreciate that a lot!
