Awesome in the sense of "Vivec-Is-The-Night-Mother-Not-Mephala-That's-Why-Vivec's-A-Hermaphrodite" screwnuttery. I tell you now, finally stumbling across such ... things is doing wonders on my lorepsyche.

Wow, that does sound screwy. In game sources suggest that the Dark Brotherhood split with the Morag Tong to remain loyal to Mephala while the Morag Tong followed Vivec. Well, now you've got to throw me a link to that.

QUOTE(Uleni Athram @ Sep 20 2015, 01:32 PM) https://m.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/1rq...werful_daedra/#Sift through the comments and you'll find it. Apparently freaking MK hinted at it when he was asked a question. Wait, MK hinted it? *Checks link* Eh, seems like a bit of a stretch. In my opinion the rest of that sermon counters the idea.

In a universe where metaphors can become reality, who can say for sure? You must admit that it's a fun alternative and puts a whole new light on the Tribunal questline.

Apparently freaking MK hinted at it when he was asked a question. Michael Kirkbride? I got most of the lore discussions in my story from excerpts of an interview done with him years ago that I found in the "Imperial Library." His twists on what we think we know brings a whole new understanding of how things were really supposed to be originally. Before that format change at the official forums in 2010, you could access some of his discussions in the Lore section from way WAY back. Amazing stuff! To me it reads more like Vivec was the cause of the split. He fostered the fanaticism that saw the Dark Brotherhood eventually break away, purifying the Morag Tong for his purpose. So for me it doesn't really hold up as an alternative. Still, who knows what manner of obscurity Kirkbride buried in the lore?

Well, my son went to the fair and brought me home a caramel apple and a candy apple - both from the same booth, who used some giant version of a granny apple - sour apples, yuch! But they were so huge that not even Steven Tyler could fit one in his mouth to take a bite. A person would have to be able to open their mouth wide enough to eat a whole pineapple to eat one of these! So, needless to say, my face got covered in caramel and red dye from the candy apple - I mean covered. I did scrub it, but still feel sticky and the red dye left stains all over my face, urk.

But you need a sharp/sour apple to make a candy apple, or it's too sweet and sickly.
Still, if you start with giant apples, then candy slices might have been a better idea.

QUOTE(mALX @ Sep 21 2015, 07:25 PM) QUOTE(Callidus Thorn @ Sep 21 2015, 02:21 PM) I even found a clump of caramel on my forehead, that is how big this apple was! It was like some mammoth mutant apple - both of them were. And sour instead of delicious, too. I now have a mental image of you trying to eat a couple of apples the size of melons Sounds like they used apples meant for cooking.

They were like 5 inches in diameter; I've never seen such giant apples! I think they did use the wrong apples, most definitely. And whoever grew them must have had some kind of prize winning soil - or nuclear waste in the soil, one! (which is not unheard of in this area, by the way! You can't eat the fish in these lakes due to PCBs created by hospitals and Oak Ridge labs dumping their wastes in them before it was against the law to do that). Gaaaaah! Blasphemy! There is no such thing as too sweet! I'll take the Delicious apple over sour every time; not too sweet for me, lol. This post has been edited by mALX: Sep 22 2015, 12:40 AM
