So we had an escaped convict on Saturday. At least I think he was- he was wearing orange and had stripes....

I neglected to put up the patented Anti-Kitteh Shield (an old window screen) before opening the door to the Holding Area (aka the garage) and the aptly-named Speedy darted in to see about this place from whence all the food appears... Unfortunately, his co-conspirators chickened out at the last minute, so it was just him. He made bee line down the hall- meowing the whole way as he realized he was all alone and the familiar lay behind a (closed) door. After circling through the back bedroom and the bathroom, he ended up back where he started and I was able to corral him and return him to General Population. He will no doubt be regaling his brother and sister with stories of "The Outside" for some weeks to come.

He has just earned his "Alpha Status" and respect amongst the littermates,

It's not a good day. Nowhere near a good day. Then again, there are no good days in sight, whether I'm looking back or ahead.

Aw, bless your heart! I hope things get better for you down the road. When I have reached points that bad in my life, I've had to make myself remember that when it is this bad, it can only go up from here (can't get much worse, right?). It has gotten me through some very low points in my life, and things always did improve eventually.

Update on the cottage situation


The dividing-up is still not done. My cousin apparently halts it quite bad by demanding an extra piece of land which we never really discussed handing over. She´s furious on her mom (my aunt) for not asking for it to begin with since that particular piece of land is the most important thing in the world to get for her. We don´t want to let go of it though so we´re at a stand-still now. But we´ve had enough, especially my dad. We´ve had to do so much on our part bringing up excavators again and again but they´ve showed no respect for it. They don´t even acknowledge how much work we´ve had to do, and still we´re no where near done.

Bottom line; we have serious thoughts selling the whole thing. Either they take it over completely or parts of it, and we sell off the rest and get something else. This is not fun anymore.

I am guessing the family can't agree to keep ownership as it stands and just allow that cousin use of it as she likes? I mean, as long as the trade was fair and equitable on both sides and neither side has any cause to feel "taken advantage of," why is she demanding more?

We haven´t moved at all, still the same cottage.


My dad and my aunt had an agreement and all was fair, but it wasn´t enough land for my cousin (who doesn´t even own anything yet).


She always wanted more land than my dad and his sister agreed to. Apparently she wants to build a lot and bring people there. My cousin is calling the shots at their end, not my aunt. What´s even worse they don´t even keep an open dialogue with my dad

At this point, with everything around us, a move to another cottage would feel like a relief.

It doesn´t feel too bad though, I gotta be honest. We´ve played with the idea of getting something else for quite some time. However, actually selling it and moving on is something else but we´ll see how it goes. We are ready to do it though as things have gotten way too far, and who knows what can happen in the future? Both our neighbours can basically do anything and whatever they do, it´s gonna be bad news for us since we´re so close to them.

Alright you fabulous madmen and madwomen, I'm going to ghost for a while. A little bit of RL stuff mingled with new jobs demand my attention so for the next few weeks Chorrol will be without its insane detainee. I'll see you all when I come back.
