QUOTE(hazmick @ Oct 5 2015, 04:05 PM) It's so foggy at my house that the outdoor light in my garden is casting big spooky shadows directly onto a wall of thick mist. Feeling very Black Marsh up here.
That's OK, but if it starts feeling like Valenwood, beware of walking trees!

QUOTE(Decrepit @ Oct 6 2015, 09:24 AM) This is so . . . so . . . so . . . well, judge for yourself. I have my share of health issues but compared this I'm a paragon of physical and mental virtue. Word of warning, some closeups of the lady's face, while not gross, are a bit off putting. Urk!

Anyone here play Farcry? The free roaming shooter game? I own two and three and played a little bit of four. But..... Wow..... The new game looks awesome and sounds awesome by the impressions. 10,000 B.C look. Almost like Skyrim(mammoths and all) http://youtu.be/LJ2iH57Fs3MI'm stoked!

And yet I am, and liveā€”like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass belowā€”above the vaulted sky.ā€¯

My son has been playing Far Cry since 2004; he used to make and upload maps for it - his first modding experience. I played with the modding tool; but was never into playing shooters. But yeah, from the trailer this one is looking Awesome! This post has been edited by mALX: Oct 6 2015, 11:47 PM

I did long ago back in the days when I had IRL friends... I remember it was quite fun, although I played much more Rainbow 6 than Farcry.

Never played Farcry, but played Rainbow Six! A lot! In fact, before Oblivion came along, R6 was my absolutely favorite game - I loved the mission planning portions and the storyline aspects of the game - more than the actual action part. This was the first game I encountered where the decisions I made actually influenced the course of the gameplay. A bad plan always failed, a good plan made use of luck when luck was on my side. And luck was on my side a lot, especially with patience.
Of course, IRL, you couldn't wait for luck and opportunity, but this isn't RL. I still enjoyed R6. It's the only reason I'm still holding on to my 16-year-old G3 desktop.
I'm back in Skyrim with a new character and a new mod load out. So far, so good.
