I don't like charities, because of what they represent: The fact that the wealthy/powerful are comfortable not dealing with problems. Charities can't solve the problems, but they can let people pretend that something's being done.

David Icke is absolutely 100% nuts. If you need more background on him, he (somehow?) popularized the theory that there are shape shifting lizard people controlling various world governments and collectively form the illuminati.

That said, I'd call leaving the forum over two posts in one thread rather than simply presenting an explanation of why Icke's half baked ramblings should be discredited a little dramatic.

This. Looking at the above I don't see something 'rooted in antisemitism', I see something that is definitely anti-Rothschild. As a black male nothing is more offensive to me than when I see someone who is black/jewish using the race card/antisemitism bias as a club to smack down someone else's opinion. It trivializes the very real oppressions that our ancestors survived in order to give us the lives we now enjoy… and it dishonors their memory.

Now that said, chorrol is primarily to support discussion of The Elder Scrolls and gaming-related things, not politics or religion – two topics that are infamous for their incendiary and friendship-destroying potential. We enjoy quite a bit of latitude in our discussions here because our members are magnificent about respecting the views and feelings of others. I do not see a real problem at this point, however, should it become clear that this thread is a bad idea, it may need to be closed. And it can certainly be closed if the thread originator so requests.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Fallout 4 kinda feels like Skyrim with guns, judging from the stuff I've seen in YT. Oh, and am I the only nerd who thinks that the new model for the Combat Armor looks distinctively like the armor of a 40K Imperial Guardsman? It's much more pronounced in the intro, at the end.

Well aside from the setting, NPCs, combat, and lore, they are remarkably similar. Almost as if the same folks made both games

Agree on the combat armour/guardsman thing though. The X-01 suit of power armor, when painted with Vault-tec colours, looks a lot like Ultramarine gear. Some NPCs also refer to Super Mutants as 'Greenskins'. I'm sure it's all just a big coincidence...

I'm gonna wait for a 40K mod; the aesthetics of the Imperium would just fit in soooo well with Fallout. Imagine Dreadnoughts having a duel with Liberty Prime ughhhhhh

Many people often say that Fallout 3 is Oblivion with guns as well. It's no surprise, given that Bethesda made them both. All four games are open worlds, give the player the option of being nice or a right bastard, etc...

I dunno, to me F04 lacked that special certain something that made it one of the Fallouts. Don't get me wrong, 4 is a solid hit and the hours I'm gonna spend on it will steal my time but like I said, sometimes it feels like a Skyrim-Esque FPS rather than a fullblown FO.
