What are you getting for your Mom and Dad?

We´re not buying that many gifts this year. Too many expenses already as you know


I got my mom a porcelain Santa, she sort of collects those, and I got my dad a new shirt. It all sounds lame I know, but we agreed a while back to cut down on gifts and just get a little something the person wants or needs

Besides, when my car was getting a good scrubbing I borrowed Mom´s car and as thanks I filled it up when I returned it. And yes, it was on empty by then

The thought just occurred to me; since me and my sister go in together on gifts for the family, and she's handling them this year, now that I've got her and her boyfriend sorted out, I've got all my christmas shopping done already

When I lived in Germany I used to get those little porcelain houses for everyone's gifts - can't remember what they are called now, but here is what they look like:

Yeah, that´s the things my mom likes but whe wants it Christmas-related

American tourists collect these houses and make full snowy Christmasy villages out of them that they set up every year at Christmas time - they use gauze for the snow, etc.

Yup, just waiting on delivery, though Amazon have already sent me an email telling me that it's been dispatched

And on another, unrelated note, I've got Banished sitting on my wishlist at GoG.com I've no idea when I'll get around to buying it, probably if it goes on sale or something.

As Dad and I were in the woods today, I managed to find a way to connect an old road with a new one we´ve created just by the cottage. At first it looked hopeless as there was a long "rock belt" in between the two spots. But now I went to look a third time and I found a way directly! Like, how did we miss that??


All we have to do is take down some trees and fill some places up with branches and bricks, just to get it more even, and that´s basically it! No need for dynamite!
